When you first brought Cruiser into the pack, Tank appeared to show real disapproval. He stood back not going to smell him like the others did. And I thought that since he and his brother had been left in the bush perhaps he had reason to fear the dingos. Cruiser feels this and is less likely to want his friendship. Still, Cruiser is wonderful so loving to Samantha and yourself. He also loves the big dogs. He would never hurt them. And If it wasn't for my age, and the fact that I own dogs, I would love to adopt a couple of characters like Tank and Chopper. Such beautiful hearts.

Remember when Rover had his DNA tested? It came back that he was a female. Ever since, I've wondered if the dogs see him as female....

It’s an interesting one. Physically on the outside he is male, on the inside he has testes. Surgeons say Male. But a uterus was removed and Embark says female. Rover is perceived as unique and special in the pack. But not overly one gender oriented. He appeases the males like a submissive male but plays a lot with the females.

I have seen so many dog owners call their dogs away from a behaviour they do not want and when the dog returns to them they punish them! What a stupid thing to do. I love that Luke shouted at Rover very firmly to interrupt the undesirable behaviour and then when Rover came back to him he got a pat. Rewarding the stop and return. Exactly the correct way. I've seen owners really shouting aggressively at their dogs to return. Why would a dog return to that?? So many people have zero idea how to manage even one dog.

Love the DNA results especially, very interesting... That's how I originally discovered your channel, after I had our rescue puppy Dasher tested. The rescue centre thought he was a Labrador/Border Collie cross, but turned out he's 50% Kelpie, 25% Cattle Dog, 25% Border Collie, which is an unusual mix in Ireland. Google search found your video on Luna, and I knew the test was bang on. Dasher loves to watch the doggies as much as we do!

Abra looks very regal sat there on the bike! I think the other dogs barking at her are saying, "Hey, it's my turn now! " I can imagine Rosco getting up there, but Luke might not like it so much!! 😂. @@ddalton692 Rex…..my husband and son called him a “chick magnet”. When my son was 8 when we got him. He had few friends. ADHD, ODD, not great social skills. Thru Rex he made friends and it helped my son’s confidence. There are no words of how grateful I was to Rex. Thank you for your kind words. I lost a chunk of my heart when he passed. It's amazing to see. I've been watching some videos where trainers go in and sort out 'problem' dogs. One is called Dogs Behaving Very Badly' and the other is called It's Me Or The Dog. Honestly the number of people who cannot even manage one dog! It's ridiculous. They are the problem, not the dogs!

I KNEW Roscoe had Great Dane in him! What an interesting mix! The Embark test is very accurate, in my opinion. I don't know about in Australia, but in the USA, it is affiliated with the Cornell University Vet College, which is a respected veterinary school. They named 6 breeds for my dog, and all of them make sense.

All those advanced military driving skills Luke did in Special forces prepared him for controlling a motorbike on slippery ground with one numb hand, while filming with the other, balancing a maligator across his lap, occasionally with her lovely pointy ears obscuring his view. Miss Red or Miss Violet or both in the dingo pack? That’s interesting how Cruiser and Tina see them as maybe “higher ranking?” They seem smaller in size than Cruiser and Tina. I just find it so interesting. I also love that Abra is the motorbike queen! She’s just loving it!

Miss Red and Miss Violet are something different again. In the dingo enclosure the dingoes were actively pushing them out. Not in a “I’m higher than you” way, but a “you’re prey not pack material” way. Outside of their territory it’s more political, and they simply don’t make their radar for expense of energy. Miss Red and Miss Violet are ‘non threatening’ in the sense of where Tina and Cruiser rank. Moose and Tank in Cruiser’s eyes are at his level so he needs to challenge/assert to figure out who is above and below.

It is Dingo behaviour. DNA over 1000s of years driving instinctual behaviour. Tank cannot stop being Tank, he will forever show strong alarming signs of a weak male adult peer. Cruiser will observe and make this assessment over and over. Forever. It has now also been imprinted, that not only is Tank showing alarming signs of being a weak member of the pack, he also is competition for mating and food = survival. Male Dingoes cull other male adults. Subordinates and peers. Males only usually exist as an alpha and litter offspring. Cruiser ‘ambushes’ ‘rushes’ Tank. This is Dingo behaviour. Usually it is a warning, of his intention. Leave now or else. When they’re a puppy, it is an initiative for playfighting, which is for the purpose of practice for when they are adults. Tank has simply decided enough of your trying to get rid of me. I may be kind and soft but haven’t you heard what ‘I’ was bred for? No Cruiser has not heard about Pitbulls. This will forever be the dynamic. They will forever be separated for them to live long happy stress free lives. It is important to understand that it will not stop until one is dead/gone. Which is why they simply live separately. We have 35 acres and our lives are dedicated to caring for these animals full time so that they can be separated no worries, but also live a great life.

Luke, I’m sorry that some of your canines need to be separated. I remember before you got Cruiser, you seemed to really wanted all of your dogs to be able to be all together. I remember seeing the videos of Cruiser chasing after Tank and and was so surprised to hear the reason was because Cruiser saw Tank’s very gentle laid back personality as weaknesses and he was trying to weed out the weak. You seemed really disappointed at the time.

Yes we would absolutely love the ideal ‘all peace and harmony’ … but who are we kidding? This many canines, felines … we have introverts, extroverts, alphas, high drive, medical needs, traumatic pasts, behavioural issues, teenagers, puppies, seniors … 😵‍💫 … just trying to do the right thing by everyone 💛

I had a male great dane(mum) mastiff cross(dad) same colouring as roscoe with the same traits. Everything was an effort, his name was bear but I also called him mr plod as everything was an effort. Loved his bed, wouldn’t get in the 4x4 to go to the vet, had to lift all. 50kg of him in and out. He was an embarrassment, such a big boof but so lovable and friendly. Miss him so much, lost him to cancer aged 10. He also had the black face looking at Roscoe is like looking at bears twin
