An older dog wants to enjoy the lazy finer things in life (I have dogsat puppies and older dogs) puppies want to explore and have fun, older dogs are so much happier with routine and just safely being adored.

@@ChristinaT-49 All the modern dog behaviour studies show verbal praise & reward based training is more effective than dominance theory: which is based on one 1930's study, of captive wolves, not dogs. And you don't think dogs need training & socialisation ? Not very informed.
