Found you from Farmer Tyler Ranch. He built something similar for two bales.

Look up Edan Shale farm. They did some of the original design of this type of feeder. At the time we built this we had a herd of horned cattle so had to modify our design to handle those cattle. We’re starting a new herd this spring. It’ll be interesting to see if we have to modify for a commercial beef cow. Thanks for checking us out!!!

We sell our calves off right after weening at about $2/lb.

What's your average weaning weight? Do they finish local or are shipped away to a different area?
@SIHayFarmer2 жыл бұрын
We were weaning the Corriente's at around 200#. The same gentleman had been buying them from us for a few years and would buy all of our calves and haul them off. That'll all change as we move back into a standard beef cow.
