I got a eight week old male malshi Aug 2, 2023 after losing my 16.5 year old Bischon last July 28, 2023. We stumbled upon this puppy while looking for rescues. We named him Noah a spirited dog with a big personality. We loved him the minute we picked him up to bring home...Now a year old he is truly a nut, but gives us so many laughs. He can also be stubborn when he wants something or wants to play with you. He looks like our first dog "Mojo" a maltese, pure white and so cute. Except for the shorter nose he looks and acts just like her and loves other dogs and people....he loves attention. We love our Noah❤ and are very happy he picked us😊

My Malshi is my treasure. I found him after I lost my husband. He was 4 months old and being saved for breeding. He is absolutely perfect in every way. He has helped me through the most difficult time in my life . People always stop me to say hello because he has perfect markings and the friendliest, loving disposition. He loves everyone.I waited a long time to get my first dog due to my lifestyle. He is now 10 and the years flew by. My greatest fear is when I will have to put him down. I don’t know how people survive this.

I lost my pure breed silver toy poodle 2 days ago and I understand how you feel. Mikey was only 10 yo, the sweetest dog I ever had, and his mate, another toy poodle called Phoebe misses him. Although I am still grieving and thought I will never have another dog we decided to get a Malshi called Oreo to keep Phoebe company. We’re picking Oreo up from the breeder day after tomorrow. After watching this video and the comments I am confident we’ll be very happy with the new puppy. I hope Phoebe and Oreo will get along well.

I have one and she's two months shy of 17yrs. I love her so but I know she might not last the year. She gives the best 'welcome backs!', loves cuddling in winter, obnoxiously always eager for food in the morning. At her current age she's a low maintenance dog and in her early days a bundle of energy. Grooming is a major factor. For a dog that kind of got foisted onto us while original owner taught overseas I'm glad the owner never came back.

We just got a Maltese shih tzu and he is so smart! Training/tricks is so easy. Learned most of his tricks within the first few hours of teaching him! Unfortunately because of the pandemic it is hard to socialize him with other dogs and people, but we try our best and he is such a sweetheart!

I have a Malshi rescue. I got him as a 2 month-old puppy from a litter of 8. I fell in love with him in no time! He’s the sweetest, cutest & most loving fur boy I could have ever hoped for! I love him so much because he’s so easy to love! He’s 8 years old & everyone still thinks he’s a puppy! I don’t expect everyone to do this, but I feed him chicken & squash or pumpkin, which I make myself. He also eats watermelon, apples & blueberries for snacks. They are just the best little dogs.

I have a 10 yr old and a Malti/pom. I do that also with their food. Twice a day I feed them chicken and veggies or red meat and veggies. Organ meets a couple times a month. I do their meal prep twice a week lol. It's cheaper then most of the dog food out there and a million times better for them

I have a 3 1/2 yr. Maltese and just purchased a Malshi for $1700 she is snow white and gives my Maltese hell, so active and playful. My Maltese is kind of laid back. Both are bundles of joy and I have never regretted the money spent on either one of my dogs, my kids are grown and these 2 are like children to me and they are spoiled rotten.

I’m so sorry for your loss. It is like the loss of a family member...in some ways more so because they are always there and never judge us about anything. I know how painful it is. My Shi Tzu passed a year and a half ago and I still struggle with grief.I chose to get a malshi. She has a way of helping me with the grief.

I bought what I believed to be a Morkie (Maltese/Yorkie) but I am convinced he is a Maltese Shih Tzu. He looks just like some you showed in this video. He’s a little bigger then what I wanted (15 pounds) but I wouldn’t trade him for anything. He is the smartest and most loving dog I’ve ever had. And he smiles!! So cute!!

This is my girl all to a tee. Loves affection, demands attention, very sweet, loves cuddles! Very playful with children, loves her toys, knows what is hers. Even her clothes, she puts them in a pile if she can. Very smart breed indeed.

My malshi is afraid of new people outside. If someone comes in she warms up quickly. Also, she has this strange behavior...she will stand or sit right in front of me and bark. It’s kind of cute but hard to figure out why. I’ll take her out, feed her if it’s close to meal time, try to engage her in fetch, but usually she does it again...lol. Still l love her so much and all of her cute behavior and the fact that she’s so darn adorable makes up for that one behavior.

My Malshi is Izzy. She is always by my side and provides all the love anyone could expect and more. She always wants to please you, and wants to be with you all the time. She trains easily and provides loads of love and affection. I would be lost without this little two year old. The only negative I have found is that she will chew any little thing she finds on the floor, so if you're getting a Malshi be sure to keep small objects out of your pet's view. 😍😍

Running around the living room and dining room like a lunatic shaking the life out of her toys. Bonus for me, she will sleep until 10:00 am. I just love mine. She is now 10 years old good health but I’ve kept everything good throughout the years. I feed her the best food even though it’s expensive they eat very little so it really isn’t very much money to keep them in good health. This video is right you must socialize them early which I didn’t do and when I got a little Shih Tzu after she was five years old I had a hard time with her not dominating the other dog and being jealous. She now is good with the other dog. They are like sisters now.

My Shih Tzu is shy but loves people, our hamster and other dogs. He needs to climate himself in his own pace in order to gain trust (it takes like 10 minutes for him to get closer). He’s a little nibby since he’s still loosing teeth (he’s 9 months old) but understands things very fast so I’m positive that we can sort this out too. All in all i looooove shih tzus 🥰

Ahhh the dog nerds, I have found y'all....I have a 9 year old Malshi, Maksimus Vilhelm. He was a little under a year old when we got him from a rescue. I have never bonded with an animal until Maks & it's been an awesome experience. He still has some "mental health" issues from whoever the rescue took him from so I work with him a lot even now 8 years later to make him feel safe & loved. I had an emergency surgery last year and I'm still having a hard time with things but ever since I got home from the hospital he's been right by my side. He's so smart, so sweet, playful, and really a model dog especially for us living in an apartment complex. He does this thing when he sees me getting upset, he comes up to me wherever I am and stands his ears up, looks at me, and starts to paw me to get my attention and then by the time I can look at him he's got his head kinda down but his eyes are on me, it's seriously the cure for anything. The most adorable face ever looking at me and seeing I'm upset, trying to comfort me. It's sweet but I love my Maks & I'm glad to see there's more of us and him out there

I've had my wonderful little man Julian for three years now. I'd honestly never own a large breed again.. not that I don't love them.... It's just that having a malshi has been such a joy. To anyone considering this breed, please know that they need regular grooming and a lot of attention. That being said.. arguably the best family dog option available. So trainable and Loving.
