I think the right translation is "Bring back the you yesterday and the me of today" coz maybe on the present time "the you" is no longer with him so he really want the you of yesterday with his point of view of "the me of today" coz he now realize how important her presence now.

When I first heard this song, there was no translation lyrics. But he emotes the raw pain so well that I cried listening to this song.
