These videos have been so tremendously helpful in getting an insight on how others do questions. I recently started my third year rotations and began uWorld for my shelf exam prep. I was wondering if you tried to remember all the algorithms in the explanations even if they weren’t necessary for answering the question. For example, I had a question where the child had meckels diverticulum and the question was asking which of the following test would help in diagnosis. I knew the answer was tech99m but the explanation also gave an algorithm picture of “age based evaluation of occult GI bleeding”. Do you think remembering these algorithms are worthwhile! I really look forward to your opinion. Thanks!!

Yep! Remembering the algorithms helps you solve similar cases in the future (and as a clinician too). With each question of thr same topic, amboss will show you the same algorithm so you would memorize it eventually

@@acingmedicine I read only the stem and read from the beginning without looking at answer choice. Then I skim through suspected fluff. I think your method will help me figure out if I am actually skipping fluff since I will have more info besides stem.

Both are great and complement each other. I found Amboss more challenging though and clinically oriented

This would be super helpful if I actually knew the information u knew. lmao like even if I did narrow it to migraine, I didn't kno beta blockers are best for long term. or for the toxicology hypotension one, I didn't know how organophosphates manifest nor did I know the treatment for beta blocker toxicity lmao. And its not like I haven't read it b4, it's jus I don't remember no matter how many times I've seen it lol
