I've been in a hobby rut for a while, but after watching Jay's videos on spearhead I'm hyped to get back at it. Many kudos for the positive vibes and enthusiasm your videos always have!

The tinting of the snow and ice works really well with your colour scheme. I don't think it looks silly at all! It helps make it look realistic when it's not just 100% dumb white. In nature, there are tints, colours, reflections everywhere, and it's very easy and natural to read those bases as a snowy rocky forest landscape where the sun is setting. It's like a blue-green twilight moment.

I can tell ya as an Ogor Mawtribe player in full scale AoS you've got a fun army on your hands. They get a lot more fun when you add their wizards and faction terrains into account. One of my personal recommendations is the Gorger Mawpack, they're an incredibly fun unit to play with!

I think he is just doing spearhead, I remember him saying that he wouldn’t have to paint another one of their Calvary ever, so he put in the extra detail

As someone who's experienced with scale models, yet only 3 years into minis, I quickly learned that bases really can sell a mini. Im decent at mini painting now but excel at making bases/dioramas because I have tons more experience in that. To add on, if you hyper focus on one particular detail or technique it can also elevate a piece similar to a good base. Also who is Jay kidding! lol He's talking Ogres up so much you just know he will be getting more in the future haha. Also doesnt help his case any because so far the rumors are Ogres are getting a complete overhaul in 4th ed so I wanna see him try and resist that new range lol.

You need to do a lush kind of forest floor for a base sometime to get away from the normal bland ones you almost always do just to see how good outside the comfort zone you can go plus not all battles are in the same environments and need to do the space sharks like Tyberous

Either Jay has been watching a lot of TNG or String Theory videos because _cork_ has become _quark_ - pretty sure the scales are a few magnitudes apart. If Jay can paint a mini made at the quark scale… actually, I’m not sure how that would even be possible. I’ll put a cork in it now. 😂
