I like how everything in the map has a purpose for the solution, but there are also multiple crafting options for most of the resources you're given. That results in sometimes needing some very outside the box thinking. Stuff like being given enough pieces of gold armour to make a second ingot, but instead of needing to use two ingots in a crafting recipe, needing to turn the first ingot into a shovel just so that it can be smelted into a 10th nugget in the furnace output. And how you have the materials for a flint and steel but actually you need that flint to become an arrow and the iron ingot is to craft a crossbow because you have one string too few for a regular bow.

Why couldn't he have made the gold ingot into nuggets, put them all into the furnace, then made the 18 nuggets back into two ingots, made a gold pressure plate to activate the parkour to reach the stairs?

You can place an item frame on a pressure plate, and when you stand on the pressure then get off it, it will stay activated (unless they fixed that bug in this version?)

That isn't even the problem. He literally used the item frames to activate a very similar setup while getting into that room. I honestly have absolutely no idea how he didn't immediately activate it as soon as he noticed the comparators.

I’m surprised he was actually supposed to make a pressure plate. I’m pretty sure you can place the item frames on the same block as a pressure plate, and then it will stay pressed forever after you stand on it. So it’s not necessary to craft anything special.

I didnt understand what the amethyst was explained to be for. How was that related to breaking the boat? I know the integer drop height thing. 36:33 amethyst and end portal have the same y level??

If the boat falls from the trapdoor it drops 12.something blocks. The top of the amethyst is the same amount of the ground as an end portal meaning the boat will fall exactly 12 blocks when falling from the amethyst onto the portals, thus breaking. Forgot the exact integer needed though.

Place the amethyst 11 blocks above the end portals, then have the boat land on the amethyst. Once there, go back and break it dropping the boat exactly 11 blocks to the ground below.

bit late, but the choat will break if it falls exactly 12 or 13 blocks, but when it lands on the trapdoors like Jordan was doing it, it will fall 12.5 or something like that because of the end portals on the floor. So you were meant to place the amethyst bud either 12/13 blocks above the end portals, and because they're both the same height the boat now falls exactly 12 blocks and breaks. Very obscure solution tbh.

common misconception for smartasses like you (and me until i checked the wiki) THAT DOESNT WORK the cake is outputting a signal of 12, whereas the highest an item frame can go is 7

Boats falling from specific integer heights can break due to the boat being exactly on top of a block at the end of a tick. There's an excellent video by Stand-up Maths on the subject.
