Idk I've always used an eyeshadow brush for concealer. For covering acne I normally use it to stipple the concealer but for the undereyes (if I bother to cover them since I prefer having dark circles out tbh) I do swipe. Maybe try a denser eyeshadow brush??

I think the trick of applying concealer with a brush is using very little product and a very light hand. Using too much product will result in brush strokes. I found that MUAs use very little product in general, way less than us regular mortal folks.

Laura Mercier is my JAM! She was the first clean(er) primer/foundation that I used, and I fell in love!! I’ve been using her products for five year now! During the summer, I use the LM Radiance primer with Clinique Even Better Glow foundation (thank you Allana), then during the winter (who am I kidding, I live in Texas), I use the LM Hydrating primer and Radiant Illuminating foundation.... HELLA glow!! From what I can tell, the two products you show here are her Tinted Moisturizers - one is illuminating, and the other is a natural skin finish! ✨
@deeice53985 жыл бұрын
Allana what shade did you use in the Laura Mercier Illuminating Natural Skin PERFECTOR? You said you used 2N1 in the LM Tinted Illuminating Moisturizer but didn't specify what shade you used in the (Perfector) in this video. I have similar coloring to you so I'm curious. Thx so much.

Lan, I'm all for this radiant and natural look on you - absolutely gorgeous! 🌞 I prefer light to medium coverage at most and then spot conceal. Most days I prefer to use a skin tint with high SPF like La Roche-Posay Antihelios Light Fluid SPF 50, a little concealer, set the t-zone with powder for a base. I'll definitely be looking into the Surratt products. Hope you and Dan enjoy your trip in Europe!

Just FYI, the Weleda Skin Food is SO THICK that none of that serum you apply afterwards is going to penetrate your skin. So if you're just using it to mix with the Chanel Les Beiges, fine. But we aware that you're not going to get any skin benefits from it. Skincare is applied from lightest to thickest texture, then SPF (during daytime) and then make-up.
@sunshinebabe60645 жыл бұрын
PlugInKali Yep!!! Weleda goes at the end. It is so so heavy that I can’t even use it during the day unless only on my cheekbones otherwise I use it at night only!
@froncifresh5 жыл бұрын
You're absolutely right, but allana uses the vichy serum as a hydrating primer, such as the smashbox primeriser (i think it's called like that lol) and not really for its skin benefits
@sunshinebabe60645 жыл бұрын
froncifresh But that serum won’t do anything because she put the Weleda first 😊 and Vichy should be topped with some kind of moisturizer.. I study skin :)

Hey, makeup artist here 🤗 one tip: try using the weleda cream after the serum...it’s always better to go from thinest to thickest formulas. Also, the brush is usually used for a more precise application, the reason you see strokes it’s cause you’re applying in a larger area. Try using just to apply your corrector closer to the inner corner 😉 love you and your content 😘😘😘

The best tips Ive incorporated in my routine are: applying blush and bronzer higher up on the cheek for a more lifted look, and using highlighter under blush because it looks way more natural. Also using way less product than you think you need is the hardest thing ive learned😂 knowing when to stop is a talent!

Allana Davison i use a brush for concealer, but the trick i’ve found works best for naturally perfect looking skin is having one that as fluffy as it is dense, and MUCH bigger than the one you used in the video, think like your favorite fluffy blending brush for an all over lid color. i use the elf flawless concealer brush with the glossier concealer & elf 16 hour wear concealer
@lucijabozicevic35945 жыл бұрын
Elle yes! I’ve actually started doing it as well thanks to Sam Chapman :D I also think it was just the different type of brush than those that make up artists use :D But I find the finish much more natural and product creases a lot less because I use lot less of it :D

I need a good new concealer for concealing blemishes, any recommendations? Yes!! I love this video, love that you're sharing all the "insider" info that most of us normally wouldn't get to know/find out from going to master classes. I use the NARS Radiant Creamy under my eyes to brighten, used it today in fact, but I really was not a fan of the NARS Soft Matte so I use Tarte Shape Tape to conceal spots when needed (I have dry skin and fortunately don't get too many breakouts...except for this summer cause sunscreen is wrecking my skin SOS). The way you're obsessed with KJH is the way I'm obsessed with Nikki Wolff (Nikki_Makeup). Sephora sale starts tomorrow for Rouge and I think Tuesday for VIB so guess who's about to go broke?!?!
