DOING MY MAKEUP WITH NOWHERE TO GO

A few days ago, I threw together this makeup video despite not having anywhere to go and in an effort to distract myself from all the anxiety-inducing news and uncertainty that we’ve all been experiencing as of late. Things have been strange and confusing and scary, but if we can be kind to each other and take care of each other (from afar!), we can get through this 💕
Fortunately for Eric and I, being in self-isolation isn’t too different for us. But we have seen how detrimental this isolation has been to the local and global economy, especially to freelancers, artists, small businesses and many other vulnerable populations. While it’s easy to feel defeated by all the things we don’t have control over, we’ve been trying to focus on what we can control which is what we do with our time during isolation. So far, we’ve been keeping our house clean, spending lots of time with our dogs, learning mandarin, practicing yoga, playing a lot of Kpop songs on Beat Sabre (it’s great cardio!), video chatting with our friends and family, and occasionally ordering takeout from our favourite family-owned restaurants. I’ve also been challenging myself to either learn something new or do something creative everyday.
Eric and I hope that you all have been staying safe and healthy and are are taking care of yourselves and each other (wherever in the world you may be). While we’re in the mindset of “social distancing”, it’s now more important than ever to make sure we’re all connected and checking in on each other. So this is me checking in on you and asking how you’re doing 🤗
