15:17 you are disconnecting wires same ways as in Grasshopper, i.e. by holding command/control button and dragging the wire all the way from one port to another. In BeeGraphy you can do that easier by holding command/control and just clicking on the port you want to disconnect.

I understand and appreciate your suggestion. However, for optimal performance, it would be useful to specify which particular connection should be disconnected. Because if they are many, everything will be disconnected at the same time.

The embed feature is pretty awesome. I think that has introduced something dynamo, grasshopper, etc couldn't. This allows for people to interact with your custom script which in my opinion is a super cool concept. Would be very interesting to be able to create variations of a parametric building or something like this on a website.

Yup I think so too. Really hope this will shake things up, as the development of node based editors seems to have stagnated in the past few years.

I like your attention to open development. I am a grasshopper user and consider it "the language" of computational design. I am concerened that all these different development environments make adoption and learning a barrier to young designers.

You couldn’t find the ‘negative’ node because in BeeGraphy it is called ‘opposite’. If you type 'negative' you can still find it, but you need to scroll it a bit. Smart of you to find your way out though :smile: When you decided to use the ‘multiplication’ you could use another trick: call it by typing ‘*-1’ and clicking Enter in the search bar. It would bring you the multiplication where the second value would be ‘-1’. That also works for addition, subtraction and division.

You were hiding nodes one by one. Were you doing it intentionally? Because it’s actually possible to select multiple nodes and hide them all together. And btw it’s also possible to call the node menu by right-clicking on the node instead of clicking on the 3 points in the top right corner. It’s easier :)
@DesignGoBrr
@DesignGoBrr 11 ай бұрын
I plan my next steps while hiding things, so that was intentional in this case. Didn't know about right-clicking on the node though, thanks for the tip!

@DesignGoBrr

neither one has a node-based scripting system except for blender's geometry nodes (but since blender is not CAD, using it for manufacturing is not ideal). So yes - 3 competitors. Now it's 2 actually since Dynamo has been on a steady decline.

Why aren't you considering Blender Geometry nodes in there? It is not a minor player anymore already.
@DesignGoBrr
@DesignGoBrr 11 ай бұрын
This is true, but just as with Unreal Engine 5 Blueprint system/PCG - there are a few fundamental functionalities that are missing for it to bridge the gap between "used for the virtual" and "used for production". I'll take a couple of major updates to get there, but I'm sure it'll be a big player in the future.

@@DesignGoBrr This is true to some extend (well, they are similar in many cases, never the same ;-)), but the coordinate cross with the circles and the letters in it as well as the look of the other navigation icons is quite unique in blender and looks very similar here. And since Blender is open source and recent developments even aimed at creation of custom applications with it, it seemed plausible...

Wow, the fees for the marketplace are atrocious. A minimum fee of 50 USD just to get your profits wired to you. I sell on other marketplaces and they just have a 3% + $0.3 payment processing fee. Furthermore these other marketplaces don't have a minimum limit for wiring the profits to a seller.
@DesignGoBrr
@DesignGoBrr 10 ай бұрын
My hope is that the fees will be adjusted for the official stable release and then callibrated according to the usage statistics. If you have any imput - make sure to drop a line for the developers to see either via email or their discord server (link in the pinned comment)
@LernikMir
@LernikMir 10 ай бұрын
Thanks for raising this concern. The fees are there just to cover the costs, and not to make us rich. We will find a way to adjust the fees to make them in line with other marketplaces
