I'm amazed by the durability of my 2021 black metalic Honda Civic EX hatchback 1.5 Turbo automatic CVT. I have 260,000 miles and I bought it 2 years ago. I also don't drive it too hard, but I blew the Turbo recently. I have not been able to get to my oil changes every month, but have found 10,000 miles is too long of a wait. I have the r-type wing and headlights, so everyone wants to race. My goal is to get over 700k miles without any problems. Wish me luck 🙏

yes, go with Derek Robinson my civic is really great with his custom tune and here in Trinidad our fuel is not the best but I'm really happy with the service and he worked with me as I could do the logs on a weekly basis other tuners were saying one day so really great service from Innovative Motor Works (DROB) for the WIN! Anyways great video as usual BRO!

The stock turbo has mad torque because its so small. You lost to the evo because the turbo has no top end breathing power. The head studs bend and that’s why the head gaskets pop between the cylinders. Your transmission will go south once your putting 300 hp to the wheels. If its 17 -18 you’ll lose 3rd gear, the next batches 19-21 you lose 4th
@kylegentles22702 жыл бұрын
300 hp too match for transmission with proper maintenance and good driving ?
@OGAwsomSauce2 жыл бұрын
@@kylegentles2270 Yeah I have my car maintained by Both Eman and Ososik shops. My transmission let go with no warning. No sounds of any problems like gear grinding, no synchro issues etc. getting on the freeway: 1st gear shift, 2nd gear shift, 3rd gear accelerated then gone. No gear, dash lights up with no speed and all components failure cycling. I was pushing 28psi at the time.

@@OGAwsomSauce That reminds me of my 1st gen Eclipse days. Transmission issues galore. Had swaps down to a little over an hour and a half after the 4th one. Lol
@tylerFC1 Жыл бұрын
That’s not true at all. 300hp is A. Not the limit for the stock transmission and B. Way too many factors play into how long any given part lasts. There is no end all be all mileage for how long a certain part will last. Treat your car like shit and it would shit on you 10 times harder. Simple maintenance/good driving goes a long way.
@OGAwsomSauce Жыл бұрын
@@tylerFC1 my cars been maintained by the best in the Honda scene. My engine never blew up and has over 110k miles on it. Everyone that I’ve talked that had their transmission lose gears are pushing over 300 Hp to the wheels. I’ve seen and had my own stock turbo making 310lb ft over torque for over 40k miles and not one issue with the trans. But it was only 266 hp at the wheels. Once I was hitting 300 hp and 300 tq at the wheels. The gear goes. I can’t explain why it happens but it’s a common theme. Go big turbo, get ready for the transmission gears to go.
