@Patrick94GSRАй бұрын
@@haze9569that wouldn’t really make sense or work at all with EV motors. ICE cars have gearboxes because of the engine torque curve and RPM limitations. An electric motor has a MUCH wider operating RPM range, with full or near full torque the whole time. Different gears aren’t needed, and really wouldn’t even work. You set up the differential final drive gear where it needs to be to work with the motor’s operating RPM range, to be able to propel the car at normal road speeds.

I remember we use to play with these EG and EK hatches way back in 2005-2009. We upgraded the engines and eventually did engine swaps to B16s, B18s and upgraded them as well. We weren’t getting much power from those as stock figures are just 160hp and 180hp but they were fun and adding power even just 20hp on those motors was a challenge those days. If I could get my EG hatch I would be happy with it having a 200hp engine with 250Nm of torque mated to a 5 speed. If we could dream bigger we could combine this with the B18C as a hybrid/KERS type system where the electronic motor gives you low down torque to assist the engine on the low end and they can have a combined output of 350hp with 400Nm torques. All these while retaining the 8400rpm limit.
