To get to the new boss you need to get the Ares token from his room, or temple, ( the one where you sacrifice a heart in) you usually don't find it in the first try though

To find ares just get the red rooms. Idk if there is a set chance cause i got my first ares coin first try but just sacrifice a heart, grab your item, and it should spawn randomly. Same for the next boss but its the purple rooms ^

To get to the new boss u have to keep filling the red bar up untill u get a token of areas same goes for the boss afterwards but for the purple bar. I hope this helps u i love watching ur videos

I believe the gun in the shop at 4:10 is famine, and as a person who LOVES this game i can safely say that gun can carry you through every boss even with "meh" damage

Suggestion for Grounded: The Wolf spider that lives underneath the giant tree has a lunge attack. You can exploit this by kiting him towards the tree lab. When he lunges at you, he forces his way through the door that he normally can't get through and it traps him. You can make him get through the first two doors and get him stuck halfway in the third door (the one at the bottom of the ramp). He gets stuck and can't move. You can either shoot him with arrows, or you can very carefully throw a spear at him. If you do it the right way, you can still retrieve the spear without getting in his range. We stumbled across this because the wolf spider scares the heck out of us and we were running away from him. We were able to kill several of them with this method. It's definitely repeatable in the current build of the game (at the time of writing).

DF, you need to sacrifice lots of health to Ares (or get lucky on your first deal) to get him to give you the token after taking one of his deals. The reverse is true for when you have to go after Athena afterwards: Lots of wisdom is required for lots of visits to her temple. Oh, and whatever you do, don't pick up the item that makes eggs explode when they touch stone when you go after them. The tokens are technically eggs. Which means you can kill them by ramming them into stone when you have that item, rendering your run null and void.

You get the Ares token when you go to that sacrifice room when you're at the zeus boss level, it pops up after you pick one of the three items, same with Athena token, but with the angel room, kinda random though, so just focus on getting to those rooms at the last few stages for a higher chance.

As I learn on my last run there is no cap on the dps a boss can take, I 2 shot Zeus however I also found out that the hp bar has a max speed it can visibly decrease at, when I 2 Zeus the bar was still at about 80% full and vanished because he was dead

To get to Ares you have to get to the heart sacrifice room and pick an item. From my experience you don't get the token until the levels after Argus.

To get to the new boss you have to enter the violence rooms by hitting all the purple crystals and doors so they turn red, And hopefully you get lucky and don’t have to sacrifice too many hearts to find the token.
