There is a bar at the lower right of your screen clear rooms without taking damage to gain wisdom, and take damage to get rage when they fill, a room will open on the map that gives you a item. (Use a portal stone to find it also if you get room via rage you have to sacrifice a heart permanently ) I noticed you didn't realize that so hope this helps. Edit: Spelling

You can get secret rooms if the bar is filled by rage or wisdom (you have to get a special coin from Ares room to get there and kill him after Zeus, maybe you have to enter more than once in the same round to get that coin after you picked up an item from the alters). It is like angel and devil deal in Isaac

When you use the purple crystals or shoot to the thing that asked you for crystals and use health, the container in the right down corner goes up, you have to do the same thing every time, use everytime crystals or health in order to get them to the top, when you unlock them completely you go to a teleporter and search for a room out of the map, Ares in case you used health, Athena if you used crystals. In any case the rooms give you items and the chance to fight them if you get to the end, but you have to get the Athena or Ares token in one of your visits to them. Good luck in the same round, I hope you see this and try it, it's very useful in lots of runs

Hey DF, u could teleport (by using the blue teleport crystal) to the secret room in the map if the bar (purple or red) at the right bottom conner when it get full, if the bar had the purple color u will have a free weapon or an item, if it red u had to sacrifice one of ur heart for a weapon or an item. ps: English not my mother tongue language, sry if i had some mistake. Hey Funny, I want you to note that every time you fill the red bar or purple bar in the bottom right you are able to teleport to hidden item rooms. You fill the purple meter by clearing rooms without taking damage and using crystals. You fill the red by taking damage and healing, or turning crystal objects into red ones.

I'm gonna say this because it seems like you don't know and I don't see other comments pointing it out, so the bottom right has a red or purple bar, you can only have 1 active at a time, the purple is filled by using crystals on doors, the oval thing, and not taking damage in a room (it will go down if you do), the red one requires hitting the doors and oval things and touching it to take damage, and taking damage in rooms (if you don't it won't go down), after either bar is filled you can go to a blue teleport crystal and teleport to a room away from the main dungeon and if you chose purple you can take 1 of 2 items, and if you chose red you can sacrifice a heart container and take 1 of 3 items, after you take an item (and maybe leave a room idk) the bar will reset and you can start the process again. Edit: I now see comments like this but I didn't scroll down that far before.

Hi DF! Quick tip, The bar on the bottom right indicates if you’re about to get a devil or angel room. If you take damage (by shooting and then hitting Crystal chests for example) it will fill up red. If you avoid taking damage and spend Crystal it wil fill purple. Once full it will tell you that you heard a strange noise from afar. If you go to one of the teleporters it will show a new room, devil or angel depends on what you completed, in which you can get free items :)

Ok this is just a tip because im seeing that msybe someone is thinking about that purple bar in the right down corner it has the same thing as "the binding of isaac" hell and heaven door after beating a boss, once the bar is fill in the map it will appear a room with free objects the only way to enter to that room is by teleporting and you know that you unlocked that room when you see an yellow arrow and a yellow ro in the map when trying to teleport and the amount of objects depends on the type of bar: Purple bar (using crystals) : a room with 2 objects to choose from, it appear blessed once you enter Red bar ( shoot at anything that use crystals and then touch it to use half heart) : a room with 3 objects to choose from, it appear sacrifice once you Interact with the skull to make the items to appear (it will not cost any heart) And thats all, if you were wondering what is the meaning of using the crystals or the way the Chests turn red with spikes that is the reason

If you can find the Death Ray weapon please pick it up, it takes a little more accuracy to use but you can blink past certain walls to get stuff easily and it does a ton of damage to bosses even hitting through Argus's shield.

Reminder: The Purple floating gems, that cost 1 gem to activate, fill the bar in the bottom right of your screen up. When it's full, you get a special room with equipment that you can teleport to. If it fills with red, you get the special room, but sacrifice a heart container to get a special drop. And, for any of the abilities that are "Each time you kill an enemy", most bosses have something that triggers that. Tok has the floating phones, Charlie summons creatures, The McFamily drops piles of mush on the floor, etc.

Just in case no one has mentioned this before, when you fill out the "violence/wisdom" bar on the lower right (red or purple respectively) and you get the message on screen, go to a teleport stone and you'll see an isolated room on the far edge of the map, denoted by an arrow. In violence rooms you sacrifice a heart container for a choice of 3 pickups - devil wings is my favorite. In wisdom rooms you don't sacrifice anything and get to choose between two pickups. Make sure not to miss these rooms! It's free real estate!

DF!! You can teleport to a hidden room once your gauge is filled with red or purple. Also, you kinda want to stick with either opening all purple chests and doors (use crystals) or shooting those first and then walking into them (sacrifice hp) to fill the gauge up faster.
