Congrats on the three-peat Tim! Proud to say I pulled the same trick with the Puma DNE3s when I saw them available before Xmas in the "Barratt's Fruit Salad" colours- wife was only too happy to oblige if it meant one less Xmas prezzie to buy! Took em out for a spin at my local parkrun on Saturday. As I was lapping a couple at speed I overheard one of them sneer "does he know it's only a parkrun", to which the other replied "cool shoes to be fair"- purchase justified there and then! 🤣🤣 We must congratulate our better halves on "their" impeccable taste!

Try Hastings High School. In Hinckley, a 4 lapper, my fastest time is mid 30 mins, but I have elongated and sharp elbows, sore kidneys guaranteed

Had that had torch last year. The cars pull over on the bends because they think I'm a car. It's really bright but it doesn't have a tilt so you have to look down when it gets uneven under foot. It also switches on and off as you go through doors. We'll done on the win for that cross country race 🎉

Well done. Weirdly at holbrooks the muddiest part is at the highest point of the course. If you like mud battlestead croft is 5k of skating on mud at this time of year!

I did it last January pretty steadily as it was so muddy. I intend to try again in the summer at some point. It's a nice small, local one. Coventry is ridiculously crowded, I won't be doing it again. Bedworth is also a nice one and on paths.

These younger parkrunners need to learn from middle aged men about pacing especially round muddy fields :) I always had a bit of a sigh though on the days when realised the crazy fast starter at parkrun was actually very good and it was then a "race" for 2nd. Of late it has been more like 16 (at least) said runners :)
