I found a broken bullet spot on DK Mountain; On the shortcut on the rocky part of the mountain, the rock that you can jump on from the third ramp, if you use a bullet on that rock, it lasts for 10 seconds and lands you right before the gap jump in a decent position to perform it!

If you're going to bag on Maple Treeway, just take the shortcut right at the start. You'll be in last very quickly to get items, there's a cannon to send the first place player far away, and a boost panel to get you quickly back in the race.

Haven't fully gotten through your Pro guide yet, but I think one thing you didn't mention is how motion controls also help with driving tighter turns. This can be really helpful, especially on Rainbow Road on the last turn of a lap (see 20:13). You can go full speed and take it really tight if you also use motion controls on the turn, especially when you're using a boost item.

The race on mk8 rainbow road lap 3 Shortcat got three stars and two boos. His invincibility and intangibility accounted for 38 seconds out of the 44 seconds of the third lap so when he said "I've been invincible for like a whole lap" he was right lol
