I guess this time around I have some questions. Why didn’t the King and Queen go themselves? I don’t remember catching why? Meaning they just had their baby. Another question is why didn’t the brother David go? He should’ve had more duties! If anybody knows the answer to these questions, I’d appreciate it!

I read that the Prince of Wales had gone to Australia in 1920 and he was warmly welcomed. The Prince would have been welcomed back, but the Duke of York really wanted to go because he enjoyed his trip to Kenya and wanted an opportunity of obtaining further experience of the the Empire. King George V and his wife went in 1901 when he was a prince.
