100% agree with this! Filmmakers need to balance making shorts with making spec trailers more often - every 3 shorts you make, try making one spec trailer. It’s opening up different potential opportunities as a bare minimum!

I'm working on my Pitch Trailer right now. 5 years in the making. But it's a great way to sell your idea. It's something "real" to show your potential actors, crew, financiers etc. A script is nothing more than a well thought out idea. It's just text on a paper. But if you can show people you actually shot something. It's so much more valuable. Love your content Anderson! I'm watching the BTS of 7x7x7 right now. Keep up the great work!

Thank you matey. Yes I 100 percent agree. It sets the tone for the film and alongside a treatment and script, it's the best way of convincing people you can make the project!

Interesting points and prospective. I've made feature film for well under $20,000.... I do appreciate the bigger budget... But when the storyteller in you is introduced to the creative hustler, we're making a movie. It's passion + purpose. I love the freedom to create out of an honest space... The money will find me when I'm working in purpose.

Very true, again it's all about what's available to you. For me I love working with a team as that's how I've made my best work. But a team needs to be paid (no matter how little) so it's all about perspective and what you have available to you. But keep on Hustling my friend, we need more filmmakers that are out there doing it and not just talking about doing it.

I’ve never thought of making spec trailers. I’ve made trailers for my micro films which are always the same in length 😅

It's just another way of getting interest in your film/film idea. It's a format people are used to watching and then when they ask when the full film is out you can send them a link to a patron 😂 haha
