Here's a tip for procrastination: Do homework the moment you get home, or eat dinner but get right back into homework. Don't allow your self even a minute to check social media, emails, etc., not even a break. It may seem harsh, but it's going to be even harder to focus when you have an essay and it's 7 pm and you feel unproductive, or when watching youtube knowing about that essay. Work for as long as you can, giving yourself excuses to keep going as much as possible, and you'll feel much more productive :)

@@songbirds1361 I understand, I would do the same. But the concept still applies, you need to FORCE yourself to do it the moment you receive it. I only said to do it when you get home to work more on it, but during school you need to begin it as soon as possible. Unless your classes are over 100 minutes, I suggest working without break until you either finish or the timer goes off. I look at an assignment as a burden, but it's also something I need to do. If you relax for a minute, just remember that assignment waiting. When you begin it as soon as you get it, it feels so good as you reach checkpoints and work through it while others procrastinate. And yes, I know it will feel impossible sometimes because you feel so drained and think you can't do anything else. What people don't know is that working makes you less tired, not relaxing.

When it's super-hard to get started, I'd recommend using the Pomodoro technique, at least at first. (The one where you work for 25 minutes, then take a break for 5, then repeat.) You can make the work sections 10 or 15 minutes at first if you need to. It's just that knowing you've "only got 10/15/25/whatever minutes to work" and then you *have* to take a break makes it easier to focus, and you tend to get more done while you are working. Plus 10 or 15 minutes always feels pretty manageable, even when you seriously don't want to get to work yet. Not sure it works that way for everybody, but it definitely does for me; it's worth a shot.

I felt a headache like non-before and my imagination exploded like it never did. The feeling was nauseating and created an extra reason why my visit to the bathroom was necessary. For 1/6 of an hour, I stayed huddled on the ground contemplating what the outcome could possibly be. I began to vomit as the headache had become worse and worse with each passing moment. I was now prepared to meet my maker for I was unable to move, unable to speak, unable to breathe properly. Another 10 minutes passed and slowly the nausea became more bearable. Disregarding the puddle of vomit that I laid in, I ran to the bathroom to look in the mirror and at first, was horrified, but nearly as quickly immensely filled with joy for I had become Einstein, the father of general relativity.
