I had to get one leg extended as a kid because it was like 2 inches shorter than my other leg. i had a metal thing sticking out of my leg and I did 1/4 of a turn a day for a year with an allen wrench

Knew a Russian kid back in the early 90's that had a leg 6 inches shorter than the other who got the bone lengthening thing. It was gnarly. His femur was broken in 4 or 5 places so he had that many sections that the bone had to heal in .

2:30 Just FYI, and I'm not just saying this, but seeing you enjoy this bike is making me take a very hard look at it. I'm not a cruiser guy but they've been appealing to me a LOT these last 3-4 years. I'm moving to the flatlands in about 6-9 months and I am very seriously considering trading off my mountain fun bike for something a bit more suitable for flatlands. Your videos on THIS bike have made me put Indian on my shortlist of brands. The only other brand I'm considering as well is Kymco, but only because Yamaha refuses to bring the Tmax back into the USA. I hope they see this and genuinely, I do hope I end up on one. The FTR caught my eye awhile back but it wasn't worth it at the time as I already owned a 1290. After my move though, they have some products a bit more purpose built for the roads I'll be riding.

I knew a guy who had the thing on his leg to make it longer... At primary school he had shoes with different thickness soles so he could walk easier, but then they stretched his leg so it was the same length as the other. probably the best thing that could have happened for him at the time. I don't know where he is these days, hopefully doing well! I love Sarcasm, I'm one of the most Sarcastic people I know... but you love traffic? I can't pick if you mean that or not. Maybe that's because of the particular accent that I'm not used to, but I just can't tell. the no feet on the interstate, yeah We don't have interstates here, Just Motorways that are often at a stand-still (the reason I got a Bike) There are times when the cars all want to be so staggered that there's no way through, but sooner or later another more experienced Rider will come along and lead the way through the mess we call congestion! For lane splitting, We here in NZ are not tested on our ability to Lane split to get a Licence. but needlessly sitting behind traffic adding to congestion counts against us in the test... If we have a safe opportunity to filter we have to take it. but not if it's unsafe to do so... obviously there is leeway as to what each person considers safe. and Personally, now that I have removed the factory Handguards and fitted Barkbusters that are actually narrower (40mm narrower overall) as well as being 1000% stronger than the plastic fitted at the factory... what was once unsafe is now much safer! More about the Leg extensions? I'd rather talk about the "Look Ma No Hands" Which after Practicing the other body movements that have as much effect, if not more than the hands on the bars as to the steering of the bike, Is something that just happens & not something that needs to be practiced (much to my surprise when I started doing it myself) As A Motorcyclist you have the Power to reduce congestion by not sitting in it and adding to it... and with great power comes great responsibility... the responsibility to disassociate yourself with the traffic congestion!

I had a compound femur fracture in 2015, extremely painful. They inserted a titanium rod from my hip to my knee. Estimated one year of physical therapy. Nine months into recovery the titanium rod broke. It was hell just getting them to x-ray and mri, they thought I was lying about the pain for pain medication. Soon as they got the results I went directly to surgery and had the entire rod replaced. Sucked because it reset my recovery back to zero but in the end it was probably the best thing that could have happened. My first surgery was never right, my bad leg was like an inch shorter than my good leg, would have always had limp. Thankfully 2nd surgery corrected all of that.

I'm pretty sure limb lengthening surgery was created specifically for little people. Because for little people it significantly helps them live a better life after the process is over. So it's not as crazy as you think it's really good tool for them. But there are regular people who use it because they just want to be taller.
