Just, do you and do what you want - my sister loved having hair because cancer took it away from her and took her choice to have it - in the same vein, she embraced her own choice, and that was what made it authentic and great - I would also tell her, "hair is hair anyway, it will always be yours, and it always grows back!" So, I think that doing you, by staying true to yourself and doing what truly makes you happy, is the best thing to do... I went to an all boys catholic high school in the 90s. almost every dude had a shaved head. we couldn't have long hair. once I blew out of that popsicle stand I haven't cut my hair in over 20yrs other than every few years taking a foot or so off. got a long beard too. I think it's the nature of creative people to not conform. to search for freedom and fight our inner critic. good work.

For the people claiming that she's just rebelling against something or other like societal norms or her label, please explain to me exactly how does she move forward from this?
