So i haven't seen this show, but this is what I got from the video: the girl had sex with a guy who filmed the entire thing without her permission and put it on the internet. The reason why she's sexualizing herself after that is not only because she notices that men like it, but also because it gives her a false sense of control. If she sexualizes herself first, it's her choice right? I feel like she's presenting herself in such a sexual way not just to get male validation that makes her feel less insecure, but as a defense mechanism as well. This happens to a lot of SA survivors too and it is often seen as a way to get your power back, when in reality it really isn't.. but let me know if I'm wrong because like i said, i haven't seen the show.

Adults always make fun of Euphoria but don't realize that real teens go through this shit in 2019, and still today. I couldnt relate to the show in some places because of course it is generalized and each character is like the extreme version of that problem in teens, but it is more relatable now than ever. When I was in HS, smoking and posting pics online for mens approval was a thing, but juuling didnt exist, and easy access to drugs through your phones wasnt a thing, and onlyfans and shit wasnt a thing. There were only a small percentage of out trans kids, and almost nonexitant population of trans kids who had transitioned who werent still going through self harm and body issues. People dont realize how real this shit is. And how it's still a TV SHOW so they glammed it up a bit, obviously.

What i’ve noticed about euphoria is it seems to be realistic lives with a filter over it, which is why everyone is so glamorous and beautiful. Also all of the sparkles and makeup seems to be filtered, so I’ve always considered Euphoria to be written and portrayed as realistic high school life with a pretty filter over it.
