This was one of her first singles, can’t believe her last single was in 2007 and we lost her in 2013. This woman practically raised all of us when we were young 😭😩

Damn this is taking me back!! I had to buy 3 copies of this on CASSETTE cause I kept wearing them out!! Reminds me of those long summer nights when we thought those days would never end and we would be forever young. I swear I can hear the ocean waves as I listen. Good times. This is bringing a tear to my eyes now! Miss you so much Ms Cat!!! They don't make them like you no more!! Thank you for being the soundtrack to the best days of my life!!!

It’s very ironic because she actually died out in the ocean from the shark attack in 2013 :(
@AlottaBoulchit Жыл бұрын
@@winko567 I know!!! It was so sad!!! She was always such an advocate for sharks and about how beautiful and wonderful creatures they were. She always loved swimming with them to show us we didn't have to fear them. 😭 Such cruel fate that a shark would be her end. 😔 All the backlash against sharks that came after her death was so sad too. Folks taking boats out trying to find the shark responsible... we lost so many beautiful sharks that year. She would have been so disappointed if she saw the things folks were doing!! I'm glad the madness died down quickly after her last passionate documentary on shark preservation came out in summer '14. What a legacy! What a life! What an honor to have lived during the era of Ms Doja Kitty!!

I remember in 84 when I was 16 years old. I would have posters all over my room of Doja cat. I remember when she use to date Janet Jackson back in the 80s…. It felt like yesterday when everything was peaceful. I would go to the bus on the way to school and back home and the kids would always sing and throw books and papers everywhere and the driver had to clean it all up lmaoo. I’m 54 had kids at the age of 22 and I’ll never forgot those wonderful memories I had in the 80s/90s. Best times of my life
