My god. This game took me by STORM. I always saw this on jacksepticeye's CHANNEL and thought it was really dumb. But one of of the later titles made me go wtf how. I watched it... and I take back everything I said. The interaction of having to open files and notes on your actual computer is such a great concept and the way they built up the characters and then made them die, only to realise Monika was doing that AND knew she was in the game and was 4th wall breaking is AWESOME. The ending was great, the Easter eggs? They are amazing, and you should watch Game Theory doki doki if you want Easter eggs. But making the mods. It allows you to make your OWN doki adventure using whatever jumpscares you can to scare the player. If you enjoy mods, watch Bijuu Mikes Natsuki Mod. But this game is just amazing, even the music, and it quickly became my most favourite game of all time

I'm currently watching an LP of the game, mainly because I'm not really into these kinds of games + I'm such a puss for THOSE kinds of games, if you get me... Right now I'm curious how everything will go down, since I have been kinda spoiled about the game. But anyways, I really like what you did to such a... simple and repetitive, and kinda annoying, song. I do imagine it was made that way on purpose, since I guess it's kind of a commentary on VNs like this one. But this remix is so nice because it adds a lot of flair and extra details that really compliment the original melody in a very pleasant way. I really like it!! Keep up the good work!!

Thanks dude! The main reason I love this game so much is the fact that I went into it expecting nothing at all. "Dude it's good, you have to play it" was all I heard from the person who recommended it to me lol The story made me legit care for these girls and the world they were in, which is super impressive considering I'm not into anime, VNs and you know .... "weeb stuff"

Yeah, me neither. I'm really kinda anti-weeb, but a good story is a good story, and if it is using some of the... questionable... tropes anime VNs fall into as a way to subvert and critique them, then I'm all for it.

+galactamarx I don't think you get the subversion of these tropes in the game. The mockery with them happens so as to twist them in order to push the genre *forward* . Maybe you're not experienced in VNs and that's fine, but you would notice some examples of this, like in the Yuri scene you *have* to skip, because the "skipping button" is a trope on VNs and this was the first time I saw it being used as a *plot aspect* instead of a gameplay one. You wouldn't call this a critique, would you? Also, I failed to see *any* critique at all, even Natsuki, who is a tsundere, remains a tsundere till the very end. There is no event making a mockery out of the tsundere trope. So where is the critique? Or perhaps you're kind of projecting your anti-weeabooism onto the game? Because in the words of Dan Salvato, the creator of the game himself, he goes on all about how DDLC *"is a love letter"* to "the ability of *Visual Novels* - and games in general - *to tell a story in ways not possible using traditional media* ", he even say things that could be interpreted as a defense of the dating sim genre, saying that these types of games tend to give the players feelings that life couldn't give them, citing how dating sim players have a tendency of feeling great interest and empathy for fictional characters and if one is enjoying this type of game, *that's all that matters* , after all "preferences are preferences". Yeah, you could interpret this also as a way to tone down the author's supposedly critique's negativeness, as a means to give the players who like the dating sim aspect of the game confort in doing so, but that shows also at least *some* respect to the genre. And btw, all those sayings are in the True Ending's letter in the game, written by Dan. To be fair, Dan does have something negative to say about anime, since he said his "love-hate" relationship with anime gave some spark to the development of the game, but I wouldn't call it a critique in the same way I would never call Madoka Magica a critique to the Mahou Shoujo genre, or Evangelion as a critique of the Mecha genre (however EVA does criticize several things, but those aren't genre specific I guess, such as the escapism anime was turning into at the time), or Hunter x Hunter as a critique of the Shounen genre. Instead, those three happens to be all examples of genres going *forward* , beyond the stagnancy they were having previously. I see DDLC in the same way. It makes way more sense. Anyway, I hope you take my post fairly, since at least you're capable of seeing a good story when you see one, regardless of preconceptions, so thank you for your attention.

Why shun people because of one distinguishing feature, especially when that feature is different for everyone? Just because they watch anime, "Oh yeah, they're a weeb. Stay away." By the way, I on't think Your Reality is annoying at all. It's supposed to be simple, but musical pieces are supposed to have repeating...leitmotifs, I guess.
