So many good Dokken recs! I’m putting my vote for Heaven Sent next. Killer solo 🤘
@CC-qb9sm Жыл бұрын
Nice one Jamison, Heaven Sent rocks. It’s hard to pick, there are so many great tunes I would love Carl’s help in learning. Thinking maybe The Hunter and also Into the Fire or Stop Fighting Love would be good ones too. But when you get right down to it they have entire albums I would like lessons on!! Again, Heaven Sent is awesome too as you said 🤘

George Lynch is a monster of a guitarist! Absolutely love his play style! Thank you Carl! Great song and fun to play!!!

There were so many power ballads back in the 80s and some had some of the best work in the genre. “Closer To My Heart” by Ratt is such an underrated track and would love to see that one. Robbins leads are very underrated. He was definitely the melodic side of Ratt but was overshadowed by Warren because it was the era of fast guitar playing.

Dokken 🔥🎸. Thank you Carl another killer lesson. Great song. With the tuning if you can adjust your tuner to 432 hertz instead of 440 hertz think it gets you there. Lot of 80s hard rock recordings seemed to do this.

Freaking awesome! I could be wrong, but always thought there were almost two guitars going on in the recording. Intro is an electric acoustic and then course done with just electric. Might be why it sounds a little off in half step tune playing with the recording. But I could be wrong

George Lynch was notorious for walking in, picking the guitar up and just playing, and not checking the tuning. That's why if you try to play along with a lot of his stuff, especially on Tooth and Nail, it rarely sounds right.
