God , I love Dokken, but they need to just stop. I feel bad for Don, he was one of the best frontmen in his time.

Don's not doing so well, bummer. Hopefully he can save face and call it quits. A few more of these performances and he won't go down well at all!
@taskmaster653 ай бұрын
He's been shitting the bed for well over a decade. I don't think "a few more of these performances" is going to go down any worse than the last few hundred horrific shows he's done. I would worry about him dying on stage at this point though.
@tomfitzpatrick7373 ай бұрын
No doubt. If George were there, it might have helped some. But, you're probably correct about that.

7/18/24 I give Don Dokken credit for at least trying to give fans a last tour before retiring permanently from making music. So for all you nasty comments people when you have your own band and have many bills to pay in your elder years maybe then you can walk in Don's shoes! Until then you all can S.T.F.U. with your nasty negative comments about Don Dokken!

I was there with my 2 kids and sadly it has to end like this for Don. They were at the top of my list since the 1980 era.It has to be so mentally and physically painful for him to keep performing. I still appreciate him for all the great songs along with the great George Lynch. It shows his true spirit to what he loves the most ...The Music and his devoted fans no matter what it takes.

Electrifying performance by don!!....😒

He isn't lip syncing that's for sure. It's what he loves to do, has to be really hard for him to hear himself now with what his voice is sounding like compared to what is was. No shame brother in sitting down and tipping your cap. You have had a monster career

Look at the drummer sucking air at the start... Jeeeze guys, I am 62 and grew up with your stuff, lay off the garbage and get some exercise.

Yikes... Don is starting to talk and move like Joe Biden. There's something going on, neurologically, with him and it's not good.

I'll take Donald Trump as the next singer in Dokken over Don Dokken and the next president over Joe Biden
@shlepmessing87033 ай бұрын
@@kevingartland723 I'll accept that offer. Who do we put in charge of lead guitar? George Bush over Lynch?
@@shlepmessing8703 he really does sound like trump though lol

As someone who has been a longtime fan of Dokken, I wish Don would retire from stage performing and direct his talents to another area of the music world, where he could still have a positive impact. He is deteriorating before our eyes and it is painful to watch.😢 I am not hating on the man. In the late 80's, I had just lost my mother when a friend, who had contacts in the music world and knew that I was a big fan, made arrangements for me to meet them in person. Don, George, Mick and Jeff, were so very nice and kind. Despite the fact that I'm black and in those days, it was rare to find black people who admitted to loving rock music, they treated me almost like a little sister. They left a profound impact on me and helped me to become the woman that I am today. I was devastated when they broke up and seeing some of the recent performances, has left me sad. In the same way that family members would tell someone, look, you can't drive anymore, or you can't climb up on the roof. I would loving tell Don, please direct your talent towards mentoring up and coming musicians, or go back to producing but trying to re-live the glory days, is not a good idea.😮

I agree whole heartedly!!!! I hope he’s not doing this because he needs the money. However, this isn’t as bad as a Motley Crue show, yet.

Why don’t you stop doing what you love? Why don’t you also stop doing what you do to earn a living and change careers?

@@Dr.Jekyll Don has a responsibility to his paying audience to deliver a QUALITY performance. If you obviously can no longer deliver, the fact you “love what you do” is inconsequential. There’s only one mick Jagger.

That drummer's cymbals are way too loose. No control over the cymbals means you're job is harder. Don's voice is totally gone. I would not pay to see this.

I'm embarrassed for him. As a former vocalist who had to retire from it, because of health problems abuse and over singing for years, you have to know when to say , done. Unless you have vocalist power to carry you, other band members. NOT. they try. Not the same. Stop brother.

I just watched an interview with Don Dokken and he looks and moves the way he does because he had back surgery a few years ago that was Botched and left him partially paralyzed on his right side. AND, he doesn't sing as good as he once did because he's 70 year old and his voice is worn out from singing all the high notes. So now he sings in a lower register, but if you listen, his voice doesn't sound so bad singing in a lower register, he's still on pitch with the songs it's just lower register.
@chrisw57423 ай бұрын
I had thyroid cancer and had total thyroidectomy and got my vocal chords stapled back together. I also had my whole neck fused front and back with the front plate removed. Lost my high range but I use my lows now. I retune the music down 4 to 7 half steps to meet my vocal range and I can do lower belting range at least. This way I am not singing a full octave down and it doesn't sound so sad. I have been doing this over 10 years though. Don could learn from me and do better than I can.

The worst part was the guitar player was begging to be heard. Frankly so was I. George would have lost his mind if the sound crew did the same to him.

George had alot of roid rage. I saw Dokken play in a bar in Tulsa years ago and he got mad and threw a guitar when the sound man messed up. Don also made a joke about Georges huge muscles and said, this is the part of the show where George picks the band up. That seemed to piss him off too. In a recent interview George said he regrets taking the steroids back then, because he now has heart problems from it.
