This guitar solo is from the song In My dreams off of the classic 1985 album Under Lock and Key. Dokken was riding high in 1985, and George Lynch alongside Eddie Van Halen, Yngwie Malmsteen, Steve Vai and Joe Satriani is absolutely considered to be in the top 10 greatest rock/Metal guitarist of 80's.
*Note that this song is tuned tuned a Half Step, (Eb, Ab, Db, Gb, Bb, Eb) but it's also slightly sharp . So it's about 3/4ths down a half step

Oh man, that was fire. I'm also sure yours is the only accurate version of the run down after the wide stretches (although George doesn't slide to stay on the high strings - he stays up at the 17th - 20th frets but on the D and A strings).

What I’ve always loved about George is that he has a very vocal style of phrasing. He loves to alternate bluesy passages with fast lines so it’s never a case of blowing your wad right away Also, he’s never really played the sort of stereotypical patterns some other 80s shredders did

Descending run is wrong. It's sl 20,20,20,19,17 on high E. Then 19,20p19p17 on B string. 19,17 on G string. Then 21p20p19p17 on B string.19,17,19,16h17p16 on G string. 19 on D string 19 on A string. Studio version.
