Just remember guys, without Don, some of those Iconic Dokken songs we love might never have been written, or maybe they wouldn't be the songs we remember now. Ya know, shit happens. I'm sure Don wishes he could still hit those notes he used to, so go easy on him. I drove from Dallas to Sioux Falls, South Dakota a few years ago just to see these guys, Dokken, the original lineup. It was a warm up show for the 6 show tour they did in Japan. I had a great day and a lot of fun at that show. It was rough, for sure and Don's voice was suffering, but everybody in the audience sang every word to every song and marveled at Lynch and Pilson, even when he had to start Paris is Burning 3 times, and it was AWESOME!!! I'm sure some don't see it that way, because it wasn't all polished and perfect, but I do. It was more like we were all just hanging out with our favorite band from the eighties. I was 10 or 12 feet from George Lynch playing all those old tunes! Great day!

Nearly all of the harmonies, especially the high stuff, on all Dokken recordings - was Jeff singing. Listen to the original demo of “Dream Warriors” here on KZbin where he sings lead and dubs in the harmonies, and you’ll be able to hear his contribution to the final recording. The high melody voice in the chorus for “In My Dreams” is him. Don is doing falsetto in that harmony. The body of the sound in that song’s chorus is coming from Jeff’s voice, with Don and Mick harmonizing over him.
