India has 8 classical dance forms..... 2 forms of Classical music...... And a host of folk dance, music and also folk theatre in every region....... And for classical form you generally train under a Guru...... something like a Teacher...... But you train under 1 teacher for years in the specific form...... And yes, a large number of children train in some or the other form of classical dance, vocal or instrument alongside school....... Traditional dance & music is more popular than ballet or western style singing....... Though hip-hop, salsa and free style is also gaining popularity in cities😊😊... Hope this helps.....
