I looked up what this pedal is a clone of and it’s a clone of the Caline Puffer fuzz, which is a fuzz face with a tone control.

I like to see if I can mod pedals sometimes. These surface mount pedals make it impossible to modify if you can’t see close up.

Surprised it looked like a muff inside. I have one and it doesn’t sound like my EHX triangle muff, EHX op amp muff, or any of my other muff clones. I think my Dolamo actually sounds better than all those other ones. Anyway, cool demo/review!

googaboogaloo, mine arrived today. It sounds a little bit like the Behringer Super Fuzz in the "in between" position. I can almost her an octave up past the 12th fret.

So I got one and the pots were crap they honestly couldn’t be worse but that was an easy fix after 3 pots off Amazon… the pcb is amazing quality thank goodness because I ran 22awg from the pots I got the are breadboard pin out and came with wire with connectors so that gave me the idea to get a kit of different values and tapers of pots to see what happens

Yeah these cheap pedals components are just awful. But for the price they are good enough if you want to start getting into pedals or just mess around with. That’s awesome you could replace the pots!

I’m not sure about the trex pedal. I’ve never played one. Thank you, but if you any Metallica tones for cheap check out the twinote boogie or the Mooer dual micro Cali. They are based off the amps Metallica uses

The horse fuzz is the exact same fuzz also. I do really like that one too. It depends on the sound. The Dolamo is a fuzz face and I’m not 100% sure what the kmise/horse is based on.

Four transistors and clipping diodes but it sounds like a poorly biased fuzz face with a low pass filter.. Either way I love it and I just ordered one. If you have a steady hand and a good eye you can mod surface-mount stuff. I was a little bit intimidated by it first and I'm still getting the hang of it but I have actually modified surface mount pedals before.

I’m running it through a clean crate gfx 212. The other amps I usually use are what people would call shitty amps haha. I use a peavey red stripe bandit and a peavey vt 212.

Battery: planet waves pw-9vpc-02 (There are other battery adapters, they have a yellow tip, i don’t have these and i do not know if they fit in the power jack.) Wall: type in pedalboard power supply and if you want a cheaper one that still is pretty good, go with a mosky brand or a Joyo. That one should power a whole pedalboard so if/when you want more pedals you can power more than just one.

Dolamo is the even cheaper Caline. You’re right. It’s a caline puffer fuzz which is a fuzzface clone. Looking at the pcb it’s hard for me to tell. My eyes aren’t that good. .
