Same for your analogy of looking to Dolan for his reaction and your experience while parenting your own kids. The complex dynamics infused in sexual abuse is mind-boggling. Card. Dolan has a lot to cover up. He's one of the "good old boys" club. As long as he' remains relevant and popular, he will do whatever it takes, to keep that gravy train coming. Originally, Ven. Fulton Sheen's process was held up by Card Dolan because it would have brought in lots of $$$$ if Sheen stayed in Arch diocese of NY., and Dolan still looks the other way. Venerable Fulton Sheen's beatification process, was held up because of Card. Dolan was under investigation at the same time Ven. Sheen was transferred to Peioria. So, it has nothing to do with questioning about the future cannionization of ven Fulton Sheen. Dolan knows this. He has allowed this coverup with Fr. Valentine and did nothing. Complacency and coverup is the kiss of spiritual death, which still goes on today. Dolan knew it. It all goes back to him.

🥸 I don't know about Archbishop Fulton Sheen, as I would be very dubious. It is my belief, that he was a very holy man. In New York City, Cardinal Dolan is known as the: Irish Queen, by the way. Finally, let us not forget about the debacle which took place, at St. Patrick's Catholic Church; in which recently, a funeral 'mass' was held for a former drag queen, that featured a large number of LGBTQP+ proponents (drag queens, etc). 👍

Just minor point of clarification: Bishop Sheen was never Archbishop of NY. He was an Auxiliary of NY while head of the the Propagation of the Faith for the missions. He was later appointed Bishop of Rochester.

I showed symptoms. The adults at Immacolata -- our principal and my teachers -- KNEW there was a problem with Fr. Valentine, but kept their mouths shut. To protect the church. Because, "the (Catholic) Church does so much GOOD!"

You are damaged, and everyone isn't dirty. In the case of Sheen you are committing a serious sin. You should retract your statements implying Sheen was somehow involved in any wrongdoing. Immediately.

EVERYONE is dirty. EVERY SINGLE Catholic bishop. Up to and including Pope Francis. Being dirty is a requirement of being named a Bishop in the Catholic Church that a man has either blind-eyed abuse in order to protect the church or is an abuser himself. "Blood in," is how they refer to it in the gang world.
