Just for safety sake - incase you ever decided to climb into what you are thinking is the base of an old chimney...... Thats a walled mine shaft top mate, not an old chimney base, the mine shaft is inside the small circular wall to stop people falling in. And yes its weird that the others in same area don't have the wall set up but small mines like thay often had different owners and some owners cared about safety more than others. 👍
