How Wesley Snipes didn't win a Best Actor Oscar for New Jack City still boggles my mind to this day .

@arthurseymorejr.36065 жыл бұрын
@@xfiler-gl7nc Regardless of that, Whoopi not winning is another travesty and that was a Speilberg film . They give Denzel an Oscar for Training Day and his portrayal of Malcolm X was by far his best work . It's obvious the people doing the voting don't know what they are doing .

@xfiler-gl7nc5 жыл бұрын
Arthur Seymore Jr. that’s how it’s setup in the main categories .only the people who work in those categories can vote. So if you are an actor you vote for actors. Well if 95 percent are white.. you better do a lot of ass kissing to get that award especially if you are black. There are only a handful of black actors in the academy. Hardly any black directors that’s why it took spike so long to get one. Even some white actors don’t win because they haven’t kissed enough ass to win one. The biggest travesty in recent memory Gwenyth Paltrow winning that best actress Oscar over cate blanchett. You could have heard a pin drop when she was accepting that award. Harvey W bought that award. Halle berry performance in monster’s ball was not oscar worthy at all. But Halle did a lot to get it including cooking for the academy members.

The fact that Eddie and Wes were finally in a movie together!!!! ❤

Wesley was upstaged by the interviewer at first, but in the end showed why he's not to be fucked with or second guessed with immaculate character voice impressions. Dump interviewer there🤔

Really don't like the interviewer. He seems to just not get it. He doesn't get the star power he is talking to, he doesn't get the historic nature of the film (not just for the black community, but in film), he doesn't get "the funny"...
