Of course, the fact it started as a surprise hit on CBS didn't do anything to hurt his pockets, but yeah...he really idolized Redd. That show...it's incredible that the cast members we lost were the two oldest (Redd Foxx and Della Reese) and the youngest (Naya Rivera).

He's the biggest camelion in entertainment history for me The guy started out as a fantastic stand up comedian with dark humor Then played movie roles from African royalty to Animal speaking doctor. He was on harlem nights a very dark 30s throwback nightclub kinda movie then was in the haunted mansion a typical family comedy. Does shrek but then does movies about loneliness and heavy adult topics. He is just a treasure of an entertainer
