What’s the Dolittle movie about?
After the loss of his wife seven years earlier, the eccentric Dr. John Dolittle (Robert Downey Jr. of Chaplin, Iron Man and Sherlock Holmes), the famous doctor and veterinarian of Queen Victoria England (Jessie Buckley of Wild Rose) isolates himself behind the walls of his mansion, with only his menagerie of exotic animals as his only company. But when the young Queen falls seriously ill, Dr. Dolittle, at first reluctant, is forced to set sail for a mythical island in an epic adventure in search of a cure. It’s supposed to be a bowel impaction but really they ought to have shown sedating the dragon to reduce pain and adding water to reduce hardness of fecal material to make it less painful and adding oil to make it slippery and easier to remove. Because the way they did it probably caused tearing and bleeding and you should be kind to animals even dragons. Like if your dog had something stuck in his or her anus the vet ought to put them under anesthetic and remove it surgically like James Herriot did when the cow had the issue with the long Johns stuck inside her. Make surgical incision under local or general anesthesia and then remove objects and then sew up incision and intestinal wall if needed because intestines can get hurt and bleed same as any other part of the body which is why we shouldn’t just pull stuff out of them if it’s stuck there. We want to do the least harm while saving the people and the animals from dying from a bowel impaction.
