In today's video I'm chatting about all things budget dioramas. Often my budget for building my doll dioramas and dollhouses are very minimum. I share a few of my favorite tips on getting realistic looking dioramas for next to nothing.

The challenge was fun. I was happy to join in. Another tip for budget diorama is thrift store Barbie items. I usually paint them. Christmas ornaments are good too. Check for them when things are marked down.

Hi I just wanted to say we miss you over here. I finally joined Instagram earlier this year & started following you but I like these chats so this is a treat. I would have liked to do the Dollar Tree challenge, however there is no such thing in the Caribbean. I have asked my cousin in the U.S. to get some Dollar Tree supplies for me which should be coming this week. I hope she got some of the stuff I really need. There are only a few craft stores & everything is crazy expensive or just not even available. I mostly just recycle, repurpose & reimagine what I have at home.

Thank you so much for joining my crazy behind on Instagram. 😂 I probably post way too much over there so hopefully I can trickle some of that into more videos. I plan on recording another one on Thursday for some of my favorite dolly purchases this month. I have heard quite a few people talk about the crafting prices in other countries and I know that can be so discouraging. If I can ever get a good camera angle I’m have a tutorial in mind for diningroom chairs that cost literally $4-$5! I hope that your cousin is able to send you some good stuff. I would love it if you used the hashtag and posted your creations. ❤️

You have followers all over the world (yes you really do). You should do a "use what you find around the house challenge". I think that would be really cool.

This is all me right here! lol A sista is balling on a budget over here. Cardboard and foam board are my favorite items to use and thrift stores and dollar stores are my favorite places to find inspiration and goodies. I think that anyone can create a diorama with a little bit of imagination and creativity. Awesome video!

I agree with you on that 100%! Foam board, cardboard, and a little bit of imagination goes a long way. It really does. I wish I was able to find the kind of thrift store finds that you come across. Every time I see you post on Instagram what your thrift stores have I'm like "why can't my thrift store get with it?"

Subscribed because you are talking my language. The shears thingies look like garden secateurs which, funny enough I was thinking about needing for the popsicle sticks etc. Yeah I think I need them in my crafting life...I did learn the lesson and have fabric only scissors now (and a bunch of various rubbish scissors that need sharpening). Lots of great tips in this...Thank you I will look you up on Instagram and then you can see my less than professional efforts lol! I just ordered a Styrofoam cutter (we call it polystyrene so sorry if I spelled it wrong!).

Thank you for watching! ❤️ I’ve had to learn that not all glue sticks are created equal. They work for a bit and then you’ll notice a few weeks later that whatever you glued is peeling away.
