It's Hocus Pocus' 25th Year Anniversay!!! OMG I love this movie so much! It's tradition for me to watch this at least once a year. Don't you just LOVE Bett Midler??? She is hilarious! I was done with this years Halloween collection but I just couldn't pass this up. Hocus Pocus needed a round of applause. Amazing work Walt Disney! Like always! This turned out so good! One of my faves from you at the moment. I have to give you mad props because you create your pieces when they are no longer moving and set. How do you decide what dolls are going to work best for your projects? Also, a lot of customizers heat up the heads to pull out the rest of the hair plugs, do you not do that step because you mostly use wigs and sculpted hair?

and also i've heard some doll customizers saying they don't remove completely the hair because it gives some extra grip for anything to be added on the doll's head.

Yes I usually do permanent hair so taking the hair out would be a waste of time. I do however clip them to the shortest that I can using a nail clipper. The dolls for customizing is a step that cannot be skipped. It's important to find the right dolls for the right personalities. I do my best.

@@missylundeby I'm working on a custom doll right now (will be my first). I decided to go the route of rerooting the doll, which can be a lengthy process for sure. The actual reroot took longer than pulling out the old hair though. Unless you are doing a complete reroot, taking out all of the old hair is an unnecessary step - as long as you cut it down to the shortest possible. I'm basing my doll on an OC of mine from a story I did a few years ago. I don't trust myself enough to do the face so a friend is going to do that part for me. My next challenge is going to be the outfit - the look I want is very specific so finding or creating a pattern is going to be tricky. I'm also planning on doing a second doll (a male OC I did to go along with the girl), I'm in the process of rerooting him but I don't think he'll take as long because I'm probably going to use flock for part of it. I'm using Ever After High dolls as they appealed more to me for the characters I'm doing. If you decide to attempt, good luck, it's a long process but the end result should be worth it.

I really liked the outcome of the repaints but the video itself was kind of boring with just music. I did love the music but I would've liked to hear your process for creating the pieces and what you were using. Of course, that doesn't take away from the end result which is absolutely amazing.

I agree but she doesn’t do for none of any videos I saw... I think she just might not enjoy talking to the camera! Its not as easy to be engaging , keep the narration fun so she probably rather not get into it as just do what she does best which is the development of her pieces by hand.
