Doll RePaint! Olivia, the happy Barn Owl Divus

It's time for another original Divus character. In this video I'm going to make Hendry's Little sister Olivia Aves a Barn Owl. For this custom I'll be used an Ever After High C.A. Cupid head, an Obitsu body and a lot of feathers.

My grandpa (who has passed on now) used to always call everyone's noses beaks. When he died as we walked closer to our car (me and my family) we saw a snowy white owl right on top of the handicapped parking sign. As we walked closer to our car, the owl didn't move it just sat there and stared. Suddenly it was right in front of us as we were in the car (after it was started) the owl looked right at us kinda nodded and flew off. My grandpa had always loved owls and this really touched my heart. Just thought I should share

Julie Agosto she is over rated in my opinion, cause sure her dolls some are cute but who is the biggest most know doll youtuber? Dollightful, and are her dolls really that great? Depends on taste, I do like some of her dolls and for me her better videos is when she wasn’t as known? Now I think she tries to make “edgy” dolls, and I have to say I do love her body mods that’s why I still follow her tbh, but there are some doll artist that are not as “famous” with small channels that have wonderful dolls and advice, for me dollightful’s work is not the top of the doll customizing standards like most people in the community try to make it look like? Idk, for me she is good but not perfect or excellent, her style is not really my thing I’m more into realistic dolls or like the humanoid animals of doll motion, (which lets be real doll motion started doing Amazing body mods first).

JADgamer21 this is an amazing idea for doing African American skin tones and some fantasy tones like doll motion shows, the bad think is for a more Latino skin tone or white we need an almost white body, since the rule is you cannot go lighter using this technique, so is still a very delicate process is you want to match skin tones with the head that is already the skin tone you desire.

I love the doll! Have you considered shaving down some of the joints to allow for paint to go on it and not scratch off? Many action figure customizers do it and it looks great and you usually can’t tell it was done. If you were to search action figure customization paint rub some videos would pop up showing how to prevent it. I’m sure it’d save a lot of time :D Keep up the great work!!

I get too involved with watching the tutorial that I hardly ever find the clue (not that I never have, just most of the time I don't). I love every step by step process. I like that the DIVUS characters have more odd colors compared to the more natural palettes of the other characters. I don't know if that's the reason or if Vulpini and Olivia are dying their fur/feathers. :)

starcat54471 DIVUS have “unnaturally occurring hair colors” Vulpini was told by her dad to say she dyed it to avoid freaking her siblings out or something. Aunt Canis has turquoise and pink hair as well that she didn’t dye either I might add.
