Good morning! I taught Christian-based preschool for 18 years (ages 4-5) and busy boxes are awesome! When I was putting together the boxes for my classes, it was so fun to choose things for each box. They were a big hit and believe it or not, it really promoted sharing among the children. I miss those days! Have fun! Blessings! 💙

What a great idea. Wish had known about this when I had Littles. Now they are in their 30s and 40s. I guess I could make up a couple for our grandchildren. Blessings!!

We were on our way home past the library just as the heat was coming in full stride today so decided to stop in to enjoy air conditioning for a couple of hours. There they had what they called "boredom boxes"; 5 or 6 different types but much bigger translucent containers than yours. They were oriented towards K-teen set. I remember one was legos, one was beading, one was paper crafts, and one was games.

That's a great idea! When I babysat my niece, I had a purse that I filled with stuff. I would change it out e very couple of days. My niece would dig through it and play with the toys or show everyone what she found.

We have used the Now $1.25 Store metal and wood building sets as older kid and adult stocking stuffers. One year it was the sunncatcher sets. They actually go over well. But ypuremright, they arent toddler fare.

In our area each classroom is integrated. Maybe if we weren't such a small school there would be classes without sped kids.

I think in our area older kids classes are all integrated, but since pre-K isn’t federally funded this is a special program. There’s “pay to send your kid to pre-k” that’s not integrated because it’s paid privately and then “your kid qualifies for federally funded pre-k” and they also allow a few peer models to go without charge to fill the class. If that makes sense!
