DOLLAR TREE CUBE ORGANIZER VANITY TUTORIAL D.I.Y

Hey Bargain Family! Thanks for joining me. Today, I'll be showing you how to make this Dollar Tree cube organizer. I made mine to go along with my vanity mirror and makeup. I love her channel too. She so creative just like you. Thanks for mentioning an alternative store to purchase the crates. I've been on the hunt for them in my local Dollar Trees since she posted the video, but haven't found them yet. I'll be heading to Walmart before the week is out to get them.

Thanks Raevonn! :) I was trying to find them at other stores for around the price of a dollar but couldn't. Target carries them online but it's a multipack you gotta buy. They also have an all black pack for $18 but it comes with 12. Guess the only good part to that is they're black and you don't have to spray paint them? I mean, you don't have to spray paint the DT ones but they're too bright for my liking. :P Anyways, I'm all over the place but yup yup Wal-Mart was the only place I couldn't find them for that price.

Judy girl I don't think so. If it's too overpriced for someone they could always cut down on the bins or no spray paint. Take away the spray paint, that's $18 for 16 bins, 1 Foamboard and glue. You cant even find a 3 cube organizer for that much granted they do have sales on them sometimes at Kmart, Target etc in which case if you can get it for around that price...why not? 🤗

Bargain Bethany I took your advice and went to Walmart. I switched it up a bit and turned it into 2 book cases. I did 16 small crates for my paperbacks and 2 large crates for the taller books ( 8 crates for each book case and 1 large crate as the base for each). It came out nice in the black so I didn't need to paint

If you can't find the crates at dollar tree then you can check their website and see if they have them but they will only have them available to purchase in bulk although you may need a lot to make this especially if you plan on making yours bigger. They will ship to your home or to your local dollar tree so just a tip. 😊

The dorm version is to use several cable ties and a square of cardboard covered with drawer liner on the bottoms. When you change dorm rooms you cut the ties to use them as moving boxes. Putting something heavy in the very bottom helps stabilize them

I would like to make this but would put a light weight pc. wood board painted in between the crates the height of a vanity below the mirror so it would be a vanity. Really neat what you did though. I am going to spray paint my containers. Also love the glass vases for brushes. Hope I can find those. I was thinking about making one of those mirrors with those stick up lights how do you like the lighting for doing your make up with that? TFS GREAT JOB!

I would suggest using small screws and bolts to attach the crates together to insure they will stay sturdy if bumped into.
