You can use KILZ as a primer then allow to dry completely then paint over it.

Nice and clever! Questions: Is the paint i buy just plain flat no gloss white paint with primer any brand, I can’t tell what’s the name of the paint you used it’s covered up.. Ty so much ☺️ Lastly the font is this transfer paper Or am I transferring the lettering by hand and going over with a sharpie pen once I etched it onto the book sides? Hope that made sense.. Ty

Genny Diaz I used a flat finish paint that I picked up at Home Depot:) You can usually get paint samples really cheap from Home Depot or Lowe’s :)
