Hi! This is very sturdy when you hang it up on the wall. I glued mine on the wall and it is still there. Its very sturdy because the mirrors are very light in weight. The dollar tree does sell glue guns and glue sticks! But, I have never used them. I did link in the description box the glue gun and sticks that I used. tfw, xo- DBJ

Stephanie, if you haven't figured it out by now (it's been 6 months since you left this comment), every Dollar Tree will stock up on different items at different times during the year. Also, they are expanding like crazy, so wherever you live, try to find more Dollar Trees in your area and see if they have more. We have 2 Dollar Trees in a 10 minute driving distance from my house, they don't stock up on the same things except for the holiday stuff, so I stop at both of them and am often very surprised at how different their stocks are just a few miles apart. Also, try online, because they have FREE "Ship to Store" in most areas, meaning you can order online, and for free, they will send the items to your nearest store, and you can pick them up there. It's not exactly the same as getting it at home, but you can't beat the price!

Glueing everything will take atleast 45 minutes. And like Tata said more than likely she's going to mess up her walls by hot glueing it to the wall. Plus with the velcro strips you never have to replace the ones on the object itself, just the wall if you're moving the picture or whatever it is. Idk, to each their own.

While I do love the idea and the finished product I don't think the poster board is strong enough for all the weight from the mirrors. I would think you would need to reinforce the whole back maybe with a thin piece of plywood or just use some type of wood board to begin with? I just think the flexibility of the poster board isn't a great idea. Especially since it's hot glued in sections! But I do love the idea and I will probably try it with my own twist! Thanks :)

Hi Anne, the mirrors are very light in weight! Yes, I would suggest a thin piece of plywood as well if your not going to hang this to the wall, and for security! In my pottery barn video I did a stability test as well-- so that everyone may see how strong the hot glue is! I am sure it will be lovely with your personal touch to it!! xo-dbj

Hi Cecile! TFW! I eventually glued by board to the wall with hot glue, but you can use command strips if you'd like. Just peel the sticky piece off of the back and paste it on to the poster board! xo- DBJ

Hey there, I was considering using hot glue to do a similar project, but I fear that hot glue is not strong enough to hold the boards together, especially because it has to also deal with the weight of the mirrors.....Have you had any problems with the mirror since its construction?

No worries! I thought the same thing for this! But the hot glue is very strong! Just make sure that you are using all purpose or hot temp. glue! Be sure to press down really hard on the frame to the board once you hot glue! I hope this helps :)

Thank you so much :) It can be sturdy based upon where you place the mirror. If you want to use it as a stand alone, to just look in the mirror, I would advice you placing a thin piece of wood behind it. But, if you are using it as a wall mirror--- hang it up on the wall!!! Also, check out Dollar tree, because they have lighter mirror pieces :)

a little tip: do not throw the material you trimmed off, glue it at the back where the two posters meet to create extra support since it won't show anyway.
