I am always partial to 🐝 projects because my name is Greek for "honey bee" so I was of course drawn to this. Love that you cut the football in half to make the skep which means that I can make two for the price of one. When I make mine I prefer to use black paint to make my "hole" though. I feel it looks more natural that way (no offense). What blew me away was your use of hot glue to make it look like honey dripping-GENIUS! I simply am in awe of how cute this is! I may have to add drippings to my previously made skeps now. Fantastic job & TFS!

When painting the honey on the bee skep, my paint doesn't dry as pretty as yours. I am using Apple Barrel Matte Canary Yellow. It doesn't adhere to the glue well. Any suggestions?

Hit your glue gun projects that have lots of glue strings...with a blow dryer on high heat. They shrink away!
