SIS!! You MUST have a bottle of pure lavender oil right next to you when you’re crafting! If you burn yourself, apply it immediately. Right on the burns, every 10 minutes until the pain subsides. I had second degree glue gun burn on my left middle finger and the fat pad by thumb. I put lavender on it immediately and the pain went away within 45 minutes. It didn’t blister or pucker the skin at all. Within a week it was fully healed. I will sing the praises of Lavender for evaaa!

I keep plain yellow mustard in the fridge. So when I burn myself I run to the kitchen and pull out my yellow mustard and put it on my burned fingers. I never knew about lavender, now that I do, I'll try it next time. Thanks for the lavender tip.
@donnaleesoucy3 жыл бұрын
I’ve used mustard too but I’m allergic to it so it’s like “which is the lesser evil?” But never knew about lavender! I’ll be getting a bottle! But I use a high temp glue gun and it never seems hot to touch. 🤷🏻♀️ so I’ll be sure to put it in the kitchen. 😂
@donnaleesoucy3 жыл бұрын
For whatever reason, high temp glue gun glue doesn’t ever burn me. There are times it’s hot and uncomfortable but never a burn to me! 🤷🏻♀️ Love the work! I also have a newborn so I understand how hard it is getting adjusted.

Just a bit of a "old lady" info from this old lady! (IT REALLY HELPS) when you have a a burn grab some mustard and apply to burn. It will sting a bit(but your already in pain). It help reduce the long term pain and help with healing. Take your time with videos and enjoy time with the baby. They grow up so fast🤗

Welcome back!! Cooper, needs you more than us. Well still all enjoy watching your videos. They were all really nice. I'm having trouble picking out my favorite. I like to make a sign like yours at the beginning. I have 5 grandchildren. Keep aloe beside you, it helps burns. I burned myself really bad with one a long time ago. I was told to put my fingers in ice water until a friend of mine showed up to look at it. It helped alot. She put aloe all over it. It hurt for a couple of days and then you couldn't even tell I had burned myself anymore. Be careful your son needs his mama. God Bless you and your family.

I finally got to the DT today. I was with my 89 year old Dad and he started checking out when I was still in the first row. So I hurried so he wouldn't have to wait. When I got to the craft area so many DIY's were going through my head I couldn't figure out what I really needed. I really missed stuff because I didn't see anything that was in this video so I only got a canvas for my son to paint and a small treasure chest box. It wasn't wooden but it was cute. I think DT is like a treasure hunt and you need time in there! I'm drooling over the things she found. They were putting up Christmas stuff by the Halloween stuff. I'm not ready for that for sure.

Your family sign is great. I can't believe how beautifully the pumpkins took stain. The dreadful orange pumpkins - I have at least 10 in my stash. Now, with that fabulous cinnamon color, they will look great. I love everything you did but I'm making that planter for sure. Your "Cooper hiatus" got your creative juices flowing because everything in this video was fantastic.
