I did the graduation for my nephew about 9 years ago. It is an amazing experience! My tips: they have lots of rules and restrictions for their time with you that weekend. Don’t plan too much because he will probably want to chill. Also, try to find out if he has any friends that don’t have family going to the ceremony… they need to be physically tapped out when you first get to see them and it broke my heart to see airmen with no family there to do it. We had problems getting on base when we arrived due to paperwork delays. That was stressful! If you can, bring a banner to hold during the Airmans run - he would love to see that! They run through the crowd and everyone holds banners to congratulate them. It is such a powerful, moving experience. You will LOVE IT! I think every American should attend and see what these kids go through for US … I personally had no idea what to expect and I was floored. Enjoy! 🇺🇸

My son graduated from the AF basic training in 2009. He was active duty for 10 years. I am so excited for you! The day starts out early with the airmen's run, the first time you see your baby is unforgettable. I was screaming my face off like a rockstar just passed by. 😂 Well, they are all stars and you will be beaming with pride. We did do the Riverwalk one day, it was beautiful. We went to a hockey game one night, but mostly he just wanted to eat & chill. Congrats to all of you & a great big thank you to Cayman for his service! ❤🤍💙

This video was perfect for my day!! Had to pick up my 18 month old baby from daycare and take him to his check up. I ordered curbside chic-fil-a and ate in my car outside of the doctors office. I had their new pimiento and honey chicken sandwich and jalapeños and GIRLLLL it was so good!! I’m a mom and a 4th grade teacher so I was definitely enjoying the peace and quiet today! My baby was napping in the back while I ate and listened to your video!! It was like we were eating lunch together! Love you so much! ❤❤❤

Hey Tiffany! I was in the Air Force too. That’s amazing that your son joined! It’s the best decision that I ever made. I just moved back to the East Coast from San Antonio. They have lots of restrictions for graduates, so def don’t plan a lot of outings. Most people just go to the Riverwalk to walk around and eat because it’s not too far from the base. They have river boat tours and also a mall there. He won’t be able to spend the night with you all either. My family was shocked to hear that. We were only allowed out during the day and had a curfew. He cannot miss that curfew either or it will be a big deal. You all definitely have to try some BBQ there. It’s so delicious! The Brazilian steakhouse off of the Riverwalk is amazing too. Can’t wait to see your vlogs in San Antonio 😊

Yes please go to the Riverwalk for sure. Eat Mexican food at Casa Rio on the Riverwalk then take a boat ride down the San Antonio River. It is so relaxing and very enjoyable. Also do the Alamo tour it’s free. The Alamo is smaller than you think it is. I was born here and lived here all my life. Y’all enjoy San Antonio and y’all come back now, ya here!! Safe travels!! My youngest son went to Parris Island for the Marines 2 weeks after he graduated from high school. He completed The Crucible with a broken ankle because he was determined to graduate with his class. He did 3 years and was medically discharged. He is now a law Deputy Sheriff in our county. They do make us mamas proud!! Congratulations to Cayman! ❤ 🇺🇸

I'm an empty nester also and a stress eater! My baby went off to college back in August. She's about 3 hours away so it's not too bad but the house is so empty during the day! You will enjoy San Antonio lots of good tex-mex food! There's the river walk and the Alamo thats all I can think of at the moment. I wasn't able to go to my son's graduation there as I just had surgery so I sent his brother and fiance go and they took pictures. I have been to San Antonio but at a different time. Have a great time in San Antonio…Things to look into…Mi Tierra casual Tex Mex restaurant with authentic Mexican Bakery and they have Mariachi musicians that come around the table to serenade you. Also Mexican market is in downtown you can go check out a lot of Mexican dresses, purses, cool stuff. Barbecue is a must in Texas, especially brisket! Theres the Alamo in downtown S.A. Hemisphere tower for a view of the city. The river walk is mainly places to eat but you can take boat rides to which are pontoons or flat boats to learn about the area. Also many missions/churches.

Tiffany, when you go to San Antanio make sure you GO TO the River Walk. You will love it. They have restaurants that have good deals and drinks. You can go on the cute river boat ride. Also they have a big three story mall right beside it. Outside the mall you can go to the Alamo!!! At least you're not going when it's in the hot three digits and high humidity. You're a wonderful mom. Have your daughter help you more around the house. It will help her as she will be leaving soon to go on her own. Just think of all the places you will be able to go!! You're still really young, enjoy the second part of your journey.

San Antonio seems to be our go to vacation spot so definitely go to the Riverwalk and go the the Japanese Tea Garden, omg that place is so beautiful and relaxing there’s a walking trail. In the summer San Antonio can be hot and humid but I’m not really sure about the fall, I’m guessing it’ll still be pretty warm if it’s in the 80’s. Y’all have fun and be safe.

Yes, You MUST go to the Riverwalk! it is beautiful, as though you are in Paris. You can ride the boats, but I don;t know how to set that up. Riverwalk is jam packed with good restaurants: Mexican, Steak, Chinese, and more! I love it in December when it's all strung out with white lights. Not TOO FAR (from what I recall) there is are Flower Gardens; I can't remember if they are Chinese or Botanical in name, but it's pretty. There is an area called El Mercado: you can take a trolley over there usually. El Mercado is a big market place with Mexican items. I love my blanket from there. Right around the corner is an area of all restaurants, Mexican, and each one is great!

My car is my escape! Sometimes I like to drive around with the window cracked and no radio and sometimes I like to sit in a parking lot or my driveway with the radio on and have lunch or a drink! Work is stressful and being home can also be stressful, so I definitely have to get away from it all. I just go to my car and I may not even leave the driveway, but I still get away for a bit!
