The lasagna looks delicious. I season my ricotta and add egg too. My mother in law taught me after I season the meat add egg and breadcrumbs. The meat is seasoned like a meatball. Brings the lasagna to another level. Give it a try, I think all of you will love it. Love from RI

I put my lasagna together the night before and refrigerate overnight. No need to boil the noodles that way. I just rinse them before layering everything.

Tiffany, cheers🍷What a great way to cook your family dinner with a glass of wine, some dancing and the TV on for white noise. When I cook, I get into it too 😊 I also season my ricotta and add an egg for the binding. I make my own homemade sauce and prefer a saucier pasta but for some dishes you definitely can scale back. Either way Tiffany your lasagna looks delicious. TFS 🍽🍅🥬🥗

That looks really good. I love meaty, saucy, and cheesy lasagna. I love a good meat sauce with hamburger, and Italian sausage. I'm going to have to start using ricotta cheese. My mother made hers with it, and it was delicious. Sorry picky husband, ricotta is going in the next one. LOL!!

When we make lasagna we end with the meat on top with yummy cheese to go with it and we make extra and we put the second dish in the freezer and pull it out later for a quick dinner, that all we have to do is just pop un the oven!

Hi Tiffany. I am Italian and I have never seen the ricotta be seasoned before using it in the lasagna. I also never saw an egg added to it, nor the extra cheese. Will definitely try it this way the next time I make lasagna.

Looks good, but way too much seasoning and I've never heard of adding an egg to the ricotta cheese or onions/garlic to the meat. The Sicilian version is a lot plainer. The meat and ricotta cheese is mixed together with sauce. The top layer is sauce and mozzarella. The mozzarella doesn't go in the middle layers, but your cheesy version does look good.
