Yours is probably a more permanent fixture but I kept my mop intact and pressed the plastic into the bottom of the pumpkin and then gathered the the rest of the mop and held it in place with a rubber band. I cut a hole on the top of the pumpkin and tucked the otherside of the gathered mop and placed a twig. It took like 10 minutes and it was super easy.

Thanks. They look very cute especially the white one. The DT store near me carries the grey/white synthetic mop head only. I braided them and glued them on. It looks kind of bulky. I made a stem using some clay and painted the stem silver. Turns out nice.
