When it comes to fabric softener they have Downy in a very small bottle. I don’t know if most people realize it but but it’s really more concentrated than needed. I divide a little bottle between two regular size jugs, and fill it up 3/4 of the way with water. Shake it up and use as usual. Works great!

Dollar tree is definitely a great money saver, however you need to look at the size of pkg I.e. 12oz compared to reg grocery that maybe 24oz for $1.87. Not everything is a good deal.
@KatarinaS.4 жыл бұрын
I agree, it can be deceiving. Buying a super-sized item, particularly when on sale, at Walmart, Target, or Costco is definitely going to be a much better deal in most cases, especially for frequently used items. Figure out what the cost is per weight/size/count and then see if you're truly getting a better deal at $Tree.

Steve B - People use reading glasses in their cars to look at their phones, I pick up my mail at a community out door mail center and I read it in my car. And then there is picking up things through drive thru, I read the receipt before I leave the window to make sure that I have the correct items and That I don't get overcharged. I set my GPS in my car while using my readers. I have been seen by an optometrist and I have the go ahead to drive without corrective lenses, but I have a pair of readers in my purse, car, next to the computer, in the kitchen, by my bed, in the bathroom ... and then some... Great list and very well narrated! The Dollar Tree is great for disposable items, but do also pay attention to the price per portion if you're looking for a good deal. For example, wrapping paper at dollar stores are usually 30 sq. feet of paper. Not very much. I regularly find rolls of 280 sq.feet for about $6, which is a lower price per amount of product you get. Same goes for mailing tape, aluminum foil, and pills.

I love the aluminum pans for holiday cooking. I use large rectangular ones for caramel corn. The caramel corn comes out nicely and pans are usable for a second batch. I used two turkey pans in one for extra strength to bake turkey in and I cut ends off another leaving a strip behind that I can place under the turkey. After baking and removing tinfoil used to cover everything, I then use the cut pan strip to lift and drain the turkey. Then I slide turkey off easily onto platter. With cooking pans, tinfoil, wrapping paper, bows and everything else, Dollar Tree helps make my holidays easier.

I'm very fortunate in that my DT has an awesome Garden Section including the outdoor Decorative items. Like the little Buddha etc statues, which I also paint and include in Garden Gift Baskets. Also worth mentioning: Their Craft Supplies are always great, be it the Mod Podge, as mentioned, Foam Core Boards, cute Miniatures or light up things. All useful items at a great price. Also, the Hardware/Tools etc area is a great place to find Craft items as well... Thinking "Outside The Box Container" is useful when exploring that (or any) area. Things like Garden Nippers, Earbuds, sets of Matching/Custom Sets mugs and so on are also a great idea. Even if some of these items only last one season, I feel like I got my Bucks worth out of them. *my son brought home 6 tomato plants from a DT. after just a little TLC, here we are months later, STILL ENJOYING FRESH Garden Tomatoes! $6 for (so far) over FIFTY Homegrown Tomatoes! I remember when they had that huge Himalayan salt grinder...that being said...,I recognized it was a steal so bought three.......and after using my first bottle....I once took the top off second....and put the salt in like that to be dissolved in boiling water for pasta....(ran out of table salt) and after boiling for a good while....most of the salt dissolved but there were like 3-4 undisolvable pebbles or something....which means I ate a mighty lot of rocks since we used the entire first bottle........kept the rest of the salt for use in brining or cleaning only.....but between that incident and the time I bought ground pepper there that smelled nothing like pepper and tasted a not like plain out DIRT, i will never trust dollar tree seasonings again unless they happen to have any that come from a well known brand name.

From one Dollar Tree addict to another - wonderful video! But I would caution everyone to stay away from Dollar Tree can openers with the plastic handles. Years ago they were a good buy, but nowadays one doesn't last even one month! I now use a $5 can opener bought at the local Ace hardware store.

Lol... so true! My DT can opener lasted for exactly 3 - 10.5 ounce soup cans before I tossed it!

Omg Yes! Mine stopped working after just 2 spins on my first can of soup. Total trash!

Finding a good can opener is an awful chore! I've bought and returned several over a few weeks' time - still in search of an easy turning one that doesn't kill my wrist (carpel tunnel).

At our dollar tree, they have the best popcorn...mmmm. And, the candles are crazy. Carpet Cleaner is the best, same thing for only a $1, Walmart has the same brand for $5.

Stay away from there shredded cheese off brand, and the steaks! Yuck! however 1$ loaf bread and there cream cheese is good.

My issue with dollar store shopping is that most of these products are plastic based , and it all becomes part of a landfill in the future. Including those gift bags that are so sweet. I think we can all work harder to minimize our plastic consumption . Cards are amazingly cheap !!!!

Difference in The Dollar Store and The Dollar Tree. She was at the $ Tree. Ours is awesome also where everything is one $ where as the dollar store has different prices all over the store. My favorite story about the $ Tree. We had our first one just built in our small town. My brother carried his 4 year old grandson there and said “Dalton, you can pick out any toy you want!” Dalton couldn’t believe it. Now it’s his favorite store to visit once a week!!! Loved it!! My big brother is so smart! 💙

I use the foil pans in a very thrifty way; I fill enough pans with different meats and load my oven so they all cook at once, which saves on my electric bill. when they are done, I cool them, make serving sizes and put them in the plastic baggies or containers in the freezer, ready to warm in my microwave, and virtually no clean up.

Try glass instead of plastic. And microwaves kill the nutriens in your foods.

The decorations are always so cute. Also I have 4 kids and making goody bags for holidays and birthdays can get expensive. Dollar tree is definitely where I go to help with cost. Dont forget they also blow up the balloons for u at no extra cost. Love it! Thank you for posting this

Years ago, I found beautiful Christmas plates, dinner size, for a dollar each, white with a 🎄 in center. I was able to put together service for 75 & have used every year for both casual buffet style parties as well as hosting larger sit down dinners. Surprisingly elegant & match my more expensive set perfectly! Best find ever for me! You never know what Dollar Tree has in store! Time to go back...😀

I love Dollar Tree I discovered how great the place is back when I was single. When I met my wife she thought the place only sold cheap garbage....then I showed her all I got from there. She got hooked too! One super great thing you didn't mention was bread products. I know it's hit or miss but, I've purchased regular sliced bread, bagles, hot dog and hamburger rolls and more. Yes, it expires soon but for a dollar it's a great deal we freeze it and it lasts.

I never buy wrapping paper, I save the wrapping paper from Christmas with family and friends and it does me all year long and for the following Christmas. And save the tissue paper from pkgs I get throughout the year. Reusing is a great way and helps save the planet.

Great ideas. I love the cough drops, and hydrogen peroxide for disinfecting /anti mold use. I adore the disposable wedge sponges for makeup, super soft and bouncy. Yet smaller in size so I don't feel I'm being wasteful. ♡

Honey, California is a joke. They have virtually everything listed as a possible carcinogen. When I look for information regarding safety California is the very last place I would bother looking for legitimate information
