One of my favorite DT organizational hacks is for my purse - I bought three of their clear plastic pencil/make-up bags and divided my purse contents into those by category. Now I have just three of those bags plus my wallet and keys in my purse. Def a game changer if you're frustrated with the endless pawing to find stuff. Plus it makes switching purses a snap!
@AMcDub07083 жыл бұрын
Their clear mini purses (?) they sell with handles, a zipper, and 3 compartments in the front (stocked in the laundry/clothing section at my DT) are also great to toss in any purse. I cut the handles off the top but it would do just as well to keep them too. I suppose I could’ve attached a travel sanitizer to the handle but oh well 😁

@@StephBer1 😂😂😂 I have been known to frantically run around Home Goods after closing looking for my keys because I believed with all my heart I had set them down in the store somewhere. All the sweet employees wanting to go home for the night helping me retrace all my steps only to completely dump my purse out in a shopping bag to find my keys. 🤦♀️I was so humiliated because they all saw the trash I carried in my purse as I dumped it out but more so I felt like the biggest jerk for keeping the workers from getting home.

I watch a lot of dollar Tree hacks, but I really like these! They don't require many of the impossible to find things that other videos do. And I never knew what the loop fastener things did! One of my favorite dollar Tree things is the medium sized organizer things that look like a shower caddy, and I think it would be great to velcro it in place. I use it on my nightstand to hold drinks and remotes, but it will come off, so that's perfect. My other current favorite hack for flip flops and flats is to use one of the buckets or trash can and clip them with the little wire things like a clothes pin. I used to always end up with random shoes with no match to be found. They hold 7 to 10 pairs, I have 3 buckets done like this. You can actually see your. Flip flops

The fridge soda can storage bins at 6:29. I've been trying to get some of those for a long time, but none of the DT's in my area carry them. The DT website does not have them. They have some that are just regular bins. They don't have the lower front end for access....and you have to buy 24. I'm so bummed. I guess only some DT's carried them in the first place, and now they're discontinued. On the other hand, the wheels on the bottom of big storage bins is brilliant. And Dollar General did have one! I put it on my laundry basket because I have a bad back, and it makes it SO much easier. Thank you for that.

Within this new Covid-19 era(financial challenged). More families are living together in a three/four bedroom homes with or without a full basement. We'd be interested in learning how to organize living space for 4 employed adults, 3 Teens/Set of 5 yr old twins. 1 Toddler. Bunk bed under space is limited. Thinking if they can quarter up bedroom closets for each kid might free up more communal space. Right now. Sheets separate make shift bedrooms in the open floor basement. Seems to be crowded without proper closet spaces. Dollar tree Landry bags are great for the kids stuff. Thank you for all your ideas. Definitely saving space.

Another life changing hack I came up with when my kids were toddlers. Don’t you hate when the little ones bump the wooden shapes puzzles that come in a tray? It seems I was always the one putting the puzzles back together. Solution: put the soft side of a Velcro dot (DT brand is fine) on the bottom of each piece. Attach the scratchy side to the secured dot and remove the backing. Now put the puzzle piece back into the corresponding spot in the puzzle and push hard to secure. Repeat on all the pieces and voila! Easy enough for toddler to take the pieces out but secure enough not to dump everywhere 😁 Ps, the reason for putting the soft side of the Velcro on the puzzle piece is because the scratchy side will adhere to your carpet. Ask me how I know 😆🙋♀️

So many amazing ideas!! Thank you!!! And I literally laughed out loud when you said you carry around a bag of trash. Total mom life!! Just today, my 13 year old son asked why girls carry purses around, anyway. “All you need is your wallet,” he says. I told him because we have more things to carry around but it’s basically a bag of their trash. 😆 I also always joke that my mom has a “magical purse.” You need a measuring tape? She has one. You need a sharpie while out and about? She has one. You need snacks or candy or mints? She has them. You need fingernail clippers or a nail file? She has them. Meanwhile, I’m carrying around a bag of trash.

It's always when I don't have the nail file or clippers, that I break a nail to where it hurts or snags and scratches, and then need something to smooth it down. I also keep a pen and a small notebook, because you never know when you might have to write something down. Lol
